Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    SERIOUS!?

Talk about a backwards step. Although no ads, no revenue etc.

    Imagine they blacked out Redzone!

You'd imagine the subs would make up for loss if ads etc. to the NFL anyway. But it was only something I saw in passing at start of summer. Don't know how strong the talk was

No, had gamepass before but not buying it with blackouts, wil use sky
While I like RedZone, it's only something I watch occasionally. I much prefer to see a complete game and it's only if there aren't any good match ups on or a game's a blowout that I switch to it.

Having said that, I would be annoyed if it was taken away.

Where did you hear about this, gufc? I thought other US sports (NBA, NHL, etc) were considering similar programming for their channels, so I figured it was something of a success. Honestly, I probably wouldn't sign up for GamePass if they stop doing RedZone - it's my Sunday evening must-watch. I'll then usually follow up during the week with compressed games of the matchups I want to see again.

I don't see how it would work with NBA or NHL. They're end to end sports with possession and attacks changing every few seconds so it would be hard to follow the RedZone idea.

Also NHL/NBA games are on every night with local time zones dictating the start times as opposed to the set times and days the NFL uses.

You can get Gamepass for €95 if you use a Portuguese proxy/vpn to sign up. It might work with an Irish billing address, might not. You'll have to check that yourself.

Not free in the Netherlands/Argentina/New Zealand anymore. Oh well :(

Ah feck. Didn't look here this morning. Bought it with a ten percent off code earlier. :o

Also there is cashback from topcashback.com. Just saw it on the NFL UK gamepass site.

Yeah Argentina seemed to be the last of them, they seemed to have pulled the plug on this altogether.

Is this Portugal price thing a nod and a wink thing or waht? i dont wanna sign up and them pull my account?

Or do i have to use a Portugal IP everytime i connect?

Anyone know where the free countries were listed officially on the site before?

Not holding much hope of it occurring this year again anyway but still wouldn't mind knowing, because despite how great of a service it is, even with the blackouts, I don't think I'll be getting it this year.

Do people reckon that if you were to successfully purchase it, that you'd have to use a Portuguese proxy to then use and watch it also?

    Roll on the Season!

I asked my friend in the UK to give me the login to his account (bought in the UK with a UK IP) and it works fine with my Irish IP. I don't see it being any different if you buy with the Portuguese price to be honest. It is easy enough to get a refund anyways if you request one before the games start.

Should work out at about 80 euro for the season pass if you use the discount code posted by wawaman.

Also when does that 15% off code finish?

Try a different proxy. Works fine on my VPN.

Edit: Went ahead and bought it because I was going to do it next week anyway. Comes to €80.74 with the discount and it works fine after turning my VPN off and using my Irish IP :)

You can always go to their live support and get a refund then re-buy.

Actually it's cool there was no change in the season Plus price, only Season.
Had made my mind up to go for Plus...

On second thoughts I think I'll go for refund and try that Portuguese way for season only.

Does anyone know when discount finishes?

Also how quick does a refund come back through PayPal?

    Cheers

How do you go about getting a refund? Is there any time limit? Also what vpn are people using?

Edit - Just realised that it is only the season pass. Think I really want the season plus tbh.

Lads where exactly do I find the hard knocks archives? Had a look about on the app on my phone this morning and had no joy whatsoever.

lads, if i just buy the Titans subscription, do i get access to all of their previous games, all NFL previous games or no previous games, anyone know?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,395 ✭✭✭✭mikemac1

Yes, buying gamepass for the first time regardless
You will get all archived NFL games, same as those on the more expensive packages

You won't get 2014 playoffs but that's not an issue for Titans fans :pac:

You'll have Red Zone with Sky as well as 2 live games so you should be fine when you add the titans games to that.

Haven't tried but if worst comes to worst - open it in Chrome browser on your laptop and stream the entire tab across. Obviously would be handier if the Gamepass app itself allowed you to stream via your phone/tablet

Why don't you get the refund and do the Portugal trick. Only works out 13 euro extra.

The Portugal trick will work with Google chrome and the hola unlocked extension.

Is Hola/Portugal VPN only required for signup? Once I sign up, Can I login to the GP app on my iPad without a VPN

Did gamepass work for anyone trying to watch the HOF game? Just keeps loading for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 694 ✭✭✭Zoton

Signed up for gamepass at the weekend and used the 15% discount (thank you) so paid about €123 for the year. Already watched a couple of the archived condensed games which really is a fantastic service and will be a lifesaver come the next offseason

The hall of fame game worked fine for me yesterday evening too.

Sorry if it’s been covered already but considering all the playoffs are blacked out as they’re all on Sky, why would anyone in Ireland sign up for the Extra package? Is it just to watch repeats?

    people may not have sky...

Yeah I know people may not have Sky but the playoffs are on blackout either way so the GP is use for them regardless

    Blackouts are a minor inconvenience.

You get access to NFL Network as well as all the archives for the entire offseason. You get the playoffs too after a 24 hour delay.

It's always possible to get around the blackouts too if you don't have Sky.
