Yes you will have a consultation, the best best is check out studios and portfolios when you find one you like or think suits the style of tattoo you want pop in for a chat and take it from there.

That being said, I'm now considering getting a very realistic one.

That image they will all be able to look after quite easily really, if you do decide to go realistic then research and see who you think suits best.

For realistic look at Remis Cizauskas for one not mentioned in the above list.

Yea Atilla is good and I love your piece but I mentioned Wildcat in the above post before then mentioned Remis

It's cool we all have our own bias I sure do

I just always try tell people were to look and let them decide who they like for themselves

Hey guys looking for a reccomendation in Dublin for a pretty simplistic piece I plan on getting later this year.

Want to bring in a footprint from my first born to have done on my thigh. Pretty easy job I know but anybody got any specific recomendations of whom to go with.

Id much rather speficics than the standard zulu, snakebite etc etc posts Im aware of the good and regularly reccomended shops on here but would like specific artist suggestions please

The design you are looking for isn't so specific in style as to be able to recommend a specific artist. So really it's down to who you like from a personality/demeanour point of view. You need to do the leg work.

The Bad News: You'll need to go in and talk to artists about it yourself, all of us could recommend our favourite artists but it is best for you to go find your own favourite.

The Good News: The vast majority of the better studios in Dublin are all pretty much within a 10-15 minute walk from each other, so print off a few copies of the design, wait for a nice sunny day and pop into town where you can have plenty of great conversations with some fantastically talented artists.

Hi - looking at getting a Tattoo at Skin City by Alan. Fairly realistic flowers surrounded by decorative line work. I like what I've seen of him on their Facebook page, just wondering if anyone has actually seen his work or had work done by him?

If it's as simple as you make out go to any of the staples of tattooing around Dublin will be happy to help you.

Don't be worrying about any of them thinking it's lame at all

preferably ireland but i would be willing to travel if it was worth it.
i want this tattoo to look as close to the picture and i believe that it would be fairly difficult to do this and would require a well experience tattoo artist to do it.

There are lots of artist in Ireland who would be capable of doing that, but any artist worth there salt won't want to replicate it like for like will want to make it there own in some way or another.

In Ireland the first three people I would look at are

Hi All,

I've wanted a tattoo for a while, but could never come up with something that I really wanted (and when I think of something I often leave it a few weeks/months to make sure I still like the idea - and usually go back on it).

One thing I do know is that I would like something horror themed (not a famous horror character portrait). Does anyone know any artists in dublin who specialise in this type of thing, as I'd like to take a look at some portfolios for inspiration while also ensuring I get the right artist.

One idea I had was to have a skeleton/zombie hand wrapped around my leg (just above the ankle) - just think of something reaching out from under the bed and grabbing your leg. I don't know if this would be too hard to do (the back of the leg when hand should meet wrist).

Have a look at Marcin Sonski and Tomash Blaszczack in Hydraulix Tattoo.

Both of them might have work in there portfolio around the lines of what your looking for imo.

Domantas Parvainas and Jak Connolly are two artists who are in there regularly enough these days and could be worth checking out as well.

Hi guys,

I'm just looking for some advice on a bio-mechanical tattoo artist in Dublin. I have searched around many of the studios online but can't seem to find anything concrete enough (I didn't realise how many studios there are now a days

)

I've also been searching the forums itself but the threads all seem to be over a year old so I'm unsure if the information would still be relevant today.

My plan is to have the tattoo starting around my elbow and go up the arm and down across the chest. Torn flesh, metal bones, maybe having the top of a mechanical lung showing up, stuff along them lines. I haven't decided fully on the details as I'd like to hear ideas from an artist.

Also it is to cover up a bad tattoo I got as a teen on my arm, not a big one but it's still there.

Does any have any experience with an artist in this area?

Any help is much appreciated

I'm currently planning Tattoo #3 - a celtic bird type tattoo from under my breast down to my side and around my back. It is probably going to be big, colourful and pretty intricate but I just can't find the design I want anywhere, and need a recommendation for a tattoo artist that may specialise in this sort of area.

Any help appreciated, in advance.

Dave Barry would be my first shout for celtic stuff but I haven't seen him do much colour and he's in Cork.

Rachel in wildcat might be worth a shout. Not really all that up on celtic stuff tbh.

Also if anyone is interested, there's a sign up in Wildcat at the mo for half price ink with Kris or Rachel. Seems to be a rack of stuff they want to work on or anything where you'll let them do their own thing.
