Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Essence have a sparkly black called 'Galactic Black' but it's been discontinued. There's still loads of the discontinued colours out there on Essence stands but might be worth doing a legger to one quickly enough

    I got some Nails Inc in TK Maxx in the clearance, one had 2 in the box (of 3) and one had 3 so I took the 3 for €8, and an Essie nail strenghtener for €5.99. The Nails Inc are: New Kings Road, Sutherland Street and Suffolk Terrace
    Then Clerys had some reduced Essence polishes, so picked up 4 of those - for a grand total of €2.60 (4 x 65c)
    ....and in the post! I got Sinful Colors Cinderella, which is the most amazing blue with micro shimmer I've ever seen, and China Glaze Electric Pineapple (which I am not sure about!)

    I am waiting on 24 bottles of Kleancolor to arrive, from eBay and some swaps from the US - it's an exciting nail time all round


    OH! Sallys had OPIs reduced to 5.40 today, if anyone is interested... Some looked like they needed a good shake, but there were some nice shimmery corals and pinks.

    Catrice Million Styles have a holo silver topcoat, which would be like what you are looking for - or Angelica in Penneys also! (less than €3 for either) BUT I would highly recommend China Glaze fairy dust or Nails Inc electric lane as more expensive options - electric lane is amazing. It makes everything sooo sparkly!

    Chickenbutt I took a gook at that blog you linked to and am in heaven. Just trying to decide which three colours to go for for my cloud design now :D

    Also I must look into getting stamps/dotting tools and the like. Where are the best places to get these?

    People who have gotten Sally Hansens in Dealz - which Dealz? I went out to Santry to get some and they had zero Sally Hansens.
    I've also noticed the Euro shop not doing nail polish anymore.
    Sucks!

    For dotting tools I'd start out with a biro (like in this tutorial) or the pointy end of a manicure stick. From what I can see from other peoples manicures dotting tools give absolutely fantastic results but aren't 100% necessary

    Any stamps I have are from Konad & I bought them from Konad Ireland. Essence also have a stamping set but only if you're lucky enough to have one of the large Essence stands nearby you (I've never come across them in Ireland)

    I saw Sally Hansen polishes in Dealz in Cork City, they had quite a lot of them along with some Revlon polishes.

    I've seen Essence in both Penneys, the pharmacy on the bottom of O'Connell Street on Eden Quay end, and Clerys - I can check my local pharmacies for you (near work and home) if you want?

    I checked Penneys on Saturday, they had every other colour besides Grumpy :mad::mad:

    Don't go out of your way to check, I don't need it that badly :p

    I pass it on the way home - I can either get you one or let you know it's there ?! It's on Dorset St near Drumcondra basically. No effort required in calling in (I'll probably end up buying more anyway!)

    • If your Essence stand has the old colour & go bottles, check Galactic Black for 1.29, it's black with tiny silver glitter in it (similar to Orly Goth or China Glaze Haunting but not as sparkly).
    • Essence have lots of Nail Art toppers and there's one called Hello Holo for 2.29 that's a dupe for Nails Inc Electric Lane topcoat.
    • If the old bottles are gone, try Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Midnight in NY which is a black with lots of tiny multicoloured microglitter, they're around 7 euro I think but they're brilliant quality.
    • Rimmel do a glitter topcoat called Disco Ball, it's around 3.95.
    • If the old Essence bottles are gone and they've got the new ones in, check for Space Queen, multicoloured small glitter in clear base, 1.79.

    If anyone is looking for the old style essence my local pharmacy has loads - their stand hasn't updated in at least a year and it's pretty much full.

    I doubt they'll even get the new polishes!

    Are those special effect toppers available anywhere in Dublin City Centre? They're so cool but I only ever see people from Galway posting them!


    I FINALLY got the Snow White toppers yesterday! :D

    I'm wearing Evil Queen today over Sally Hansen Delphinium (not my image)

    Haven't seen them anywhere! The Galway stand is like twice the size of a normal one so there's a lot more space. One side is practically all nail stuff! Hope somewhere in Dublin gets them, didn't have a lot of time to peruse :)

    Right, that's it, shopping trip tomorrow methinks! I NEED that confetti topper, I'm still kicking myself for not getting the Circus Confetti topper when it was released but I couldn't find it anywhere, I'll be damned if I miss out on this one as well!

    I was in Gran Canaria last week and amid all the shops selling tourist tat I stumbled on a tiny make up shop selling Catrice polishes for €2.49. I would happily have brought the whole stand home but my bag was already over Ryanair's measly allowence on the way over so I had to limit myself to...

    If anyone is in Ardara or Dungloe in Donegal the pharmacies there have quote full Snow White collections on their essence stands!

    Also, have essence gotten rid of blue addicted in their new collection?! I'm going to need to stock up if that's the case!

    The idea is for people to post pics on a Friday of their nail polish. Maybe get the weekend off to a cheerful start.

    Anyway, here's todays polish - OPI Your Royal Shini-ness. It's a lovely silver foil polish with slight golden tones.

    Ladies, I was in Clerys today and they have a ton of Essence polishes for .65c! I think they restocked it! They've loads of colours! I got the last Galactic Black though :cool:
