Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The owner of my local vapes. I gave him a few spare clearos because he paid 26 quid for one in a walk in shop recently!! Just looked like a regular T2 or T3 clearo to me. So he owes me ;-)

Anyway, once he's vaping, there's no stopping me!!

Visa Debit cards work as credit cards, and PayPal can generally be used as a checkout without needing an account (if the vendor's checked that box).

    Didn't know that, thanks...

Would be great if u cud tell me what do u think of the link to the starter kit to get me started??

Unless you want something the size of a cig I'd leave that one.
Heres an option for similar money;http://www.thebestshop.eu/shop/electronic-cigarettes-starter-kits/193-single-ego-t-with-ce4-starter-kit.html
    You could get two!
The 650 battery should last most of the day certainly as long as two 510 battery's.
Clearos are easier than the cartridges or tanks. Only thing is the size. It's more like a big fat cigar than a cig, you won't dangle it between your lips, But it works well, gives good vapor and flavor.
If you need the cig feel getting started, get a disposable for out an about, they work well enough for what they are and can be got for about a fiver. I think the Ritchy ones are considered good. Haven't bothered with them so I'm not sure.

I started with that kit about 18 months ago......it's fine to start with but the battery life is only a couple of hours, the atties are not great at all and suffer from wicking issues. Fine to start with but I wouldn't recommend any cigalikes yokes at all.

This one is much better and you should get around 6-7 hours from each battery at normal vaping rate. The evod gets good reviews although I've never used it myself.

    http://www.vaperus.ie/basic-vaping-kits/192-kanger-evod-kit.html

If you have a look through the sites on this link, at least half of them have starter kits and so long as they have eGo or Kanger starter kits you can't really go wrong.

Despite what the information says underneath it, it will leak, and the flavour will be fairly muted.
Those batteries are quite small, so I'd only get it if I absolutely had to have a cig-sized ecig.
    Also available cheaper here.
    http://www.vaperus.ie/basic-vaping-kits/63-510-t-kit.html

Get a pack of 2.0ohm Boge cartos and that'll perform better than the tank-atty combo.

Personally I'd buy two of these
    http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/voltbatt.htm

    One of these
    http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/voltcharge.htm

    And a pack of these
    http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/bogecarto.htm
    (2.0ohm)

Mmmm, i haven't had a pleasant experience with them, I've given them until 5pm to respond to me and resolve the issue, if they don't I will post details then, don't want to slate them for something that could have been a genuine mistake, although I doubt it.

I got the above mentioned T2 earlier and I must say I am very pleasantly surprised, there's a great back of the throat and lung hit off it, performs just like a real smoke, hopefully that's the end of my time smoking rotten cigarettes.

I wouldn't be an expert on boges but that shouldn't need to be replaced.

Unless you had a really unusually thick juice in it or something.

Just started today. I was reading through these threads last night but there were too many choices to try to take in so just went to the shop in Mount street Mullingar today

Got a Provog ego kit for E66 with 2 kits...1100mAh batteries, "crystal" clearomisers and USB charger. There was also an AC charger but for Polish sockets.

For 11 quid extra got 10ml "Mild" colonial tobacco (nice) and 10ml "P1" menthol (nice "after eight" taste) juices

Anybody know how this lot figures ,compared to the competition?

Is it worth my while upgrading the clearomisers to something else? 510 thread , apparently

Check this list of vendors out when your batteries break and you think 11 quid is a good deal for two 10mls http://www.vapingireland.com/Home/Vendors

Thanks for the list. I wasnt claiming I got a good deal. I wouldn't know...hence my question.
I am more interested in finding out how the provog ego kit compares to others regarding quality or if I should, say, buy a different clearomiser to improve it...if anyone knows this kit, that is.

The Provog seems to be rebadged Joyetech if I remember right

Hi guys, just read through alot of this thread and some great info.

I had an e-cig (not sure on the brand) about 2 months ago, it worked for a few weeks and i was off the fags, but the design was so bad it pretty much stopped vaping and i had no idea how to fix it without buying a new one. (i paid 36 euro for it). So ive been back on the smokes since...

So im here to look at getting a proper vap, and after seeing so many recommendations for the kanger twist im willing to give it a try. Few questions if anyone can answer though!

Is it better to get the upgrade starter kit as opposed to the original? Is the benefit just extra parts i wont need to buy in future? Money isnt a problem if its more convenient to buy the better product!

Also with the basic starter kit i see you get some sample liquid choices. Is this just with the basic starter kit or for both?
I've never used liquids before so im unsure as to what to try.
I've smoked rollies for about 10 years (golden vir & amber leaf) if that helps.

Also how often will i have to buy upgrades or change the parts on the e-cig?

And is it better to get a different model if im committed to having an e-cig? I dont want to have to buy a whole new set a few months down the line if ive already paid for this one!

Apologies if theres too many questions here, or if i posted in the wrong section. Just a bit daunted by the expertise and my lack of knowledge of the products so hoping someone can help a complete noob!

    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks,

Assuming the HS is Healthier Smoker, then the Firebird is an eGo type battery with presumably a clearo on top. It's the kind of thing I would recommend to a beginner. Easy to fill, can see when it needs refilling and performs well.

Once you find a flavor juice you like your off to a good start.

Keep an eye out for when the taste becomes a bit off, thats when you need a new clearo or head for the one you have. Usually about 15 ml to 20ml of juice wears the coil out.
Haven't got one of that brand myself so cant comment on the quality but egos are simple tech, not a lot to go wrong.

  • Registered Users Posts: 656 ✭✭✭pinkstars

    Yea the Healthier Smoker one...
Thanks for the tips as I really had no idea of much.

Do you get into them more as you carry on and try different e-cigarettes and vapers?

Well shinyitis can set in but tbh it doesn't have to. I'm happy with an ego battery and a rebuildable dripping atomizer. Mix my own juice mostly and seldom spend more than 30 quid a month.
You can run a cleromiser for about 4 quid a week with juice costing no more than 6 euros. Or you could spend hundreds buying mods and atomizers, boutique juices and fancy battery chargers. Can cost as much as fags if you want or as little as coke and crisps.
Check out the Vape porn thread to see how mad...er attractive it can get.

    I drift between the Pheonix

    And the A7, pic here
    http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/679572770/For_ego_battery_New_color_stainless.html
Both work well, the A7 is darker and longer, I dont bother with the oid bit, don't like the flavor from it.
For times when dripping is difficult I go with a C4, handy and easy.

I'm debating trying cartos or a dripper atm but I've had zero problems with my 2 mini protanks so I'm hesitant. There isn't even a drop of liquid on top of the battery after a full tank unless i go messing around removing some of the wicks.

All the other clearos I tried leaked and flooded or gave dry hits. These things are effortless.. fill, vape and change the coil once a week, but I get the feeling I'm missing out on some of the flavour.

Electronic Cigs can be bought in many supermarkets. I have the Nicolite cig. I find it very good.E23.99.No messy liquid. The only problem is I can't find any where that sells the individual battery so, I have to buy the starter kit each time I need a new battery. I have cut down from 40-60 to 10-20 a day in just a few weeks. After a lifetime of heavy smoking I have emphysema. My Dr told me that every cigarette I didn't smoke would help me. I can now breathe without gasping for breath. Which ever cig you choose make sure you can buy the accessories.

Hi guys glad people are talking on this subject about E cig's been a smoker for over 25 years usually a pack a day. Been to U.S.A 10 years ago and saw people using this product and seem a good alternative to the harmful cig's.
Tried ordering the product but shipping costs to high didn’t make it viable so continued smoking the coffin nails that will get you in the end, and now just discovered that their here, been researching the vapour world forms, blogs etc
And the one that is highly rated is the new vapour4life zeus, not going to start typing vapour talk on vapour cigs plenty on info on forms about that, but the main reason for this post is if someone could point us in the direction of a good supplier for this vapour in Ireland or U.K, would be grateful.
Also rated highly is the Spanish gold tobacco liquid or juice as it’s called which you can get from sweet-vapes.com also any help on finding a good supplier would be appreciated.

Vapor4Life products seem to be vaporware on this side of the Atlantic despite being "one the more popular e-cig brands in the UK" according to their blurb.

Can't find a store that stocks them and they don't seem too popular, very little mention on ECF outside their own forum. They have an old/unpopular connection type which would be a huge hindrance and a good reason for vendors not to supply their goods.
Maybe they just haven't bothered pushing into our market/s yet.

Just got my Dad started on disposable "Matchless" e-cigs. I never thought he'd take to them, deeply suspicious of all things electronic as he is. Now I'm wondering about getting him a starter kit to add economy to the fresher air in the sitting room. He likes the 'authentic' cigarette experience so the choice seems to be either "Matchless" or "VIP".

Check out the eRoll or the Innokin AIO, those are cigalikes but they come with charging boxes and they're handily refillable.

Thank you. I had a look at the eRoll but couldn't find a cig-enough-like product in their range to satisfy my dad (I guess there will be a period of adjustment before he'd be prepared to let me hook him up with anything that looks distinctly different from what he is used to).

The Innokin AIO looks good however - I'll price it up alongside the Matchless and the VIP (I'm costing 10,000 puffs for each).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

Costing for puffs won't work - the blurb the cigalikes use vastly overinflates the amount of cigs you get from a carto. Divide whatever number they say by 2 or 3 and you'll be closer to the truth.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 113 ✭✭OcocO

Ah, okay. In your experience, do the cartomisers/cartridges for the different makes of cigalike all contain roughly the same amount or are there brands that outlast others?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

The cheapest by a large margin would be the AIO. Unfortunately the reason it'll work out cheaper is because it uses a common connection type (so far so good!) but the cartos that you use with it are empty and need to be filled by you or your father (2min job but some people are stubborn about minor fiddling to the point of choosing death over fiddle!).

The good side of that is he has about 1000x the amount of flavour options. Should he get a liquid, not like it and it's from a good brand it can always be sold or swapped.
