Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My mate needs a ticket and was wondering if ahyone has any ideas where to get one, we're up north.

Also i was on a site called my ticket market.com they seemed to be flogging tickets for £60.50 a pop i thought this looked to good to be true. Can anyone tell me if this would be genuine?

Seems to be lots on toutless.com

Bags always get searched at gigs and people are generally frisked. And depending on the gig sometimes the body search is more thorough, i.e. checking wallets, socks, etc.

Whats the chances of going down without a ticket and getting one on the day for face value?

PS are you allowed large bottles of sot drink in with you or will they be taken off you? Obviously these big bottles would be doctored with spirits!

    DO NOT:

    • Do not bring glass, cans, alcohol, fireworks, laser pens or pointers, spikes, studs or anything dangerous, umbrellas, poles, fold up or blow up chairs or garden furniture, professional audio or visual recording equipment – you will not be allowed in with any of these items.
    • Do not park illegally. Towing in operation. Please follow signs to carparks.
    • Do not buy tickets from unofficial sources.
    • Do not rush the exits after the concert.
    • Do not crowd surf or mosh as you will be removed from the venue without refund.

    Hi guys

Im attending the oasis concert in slane on saturday.

IM travelling by bus.Unfortunately the match is on the same day.

Ive been told that to watch the match at slane i will have to pay 150 extra to get access to the garda compound.

Does anybody know anywere were i could watch the match.
I have been told that people are not allowed in to the village
    is this true?

Any help would be greatly appreciated from a lifelong rugby and oasis fan

Someone just told me oasis might be cancelled due to a row between Liam and Noel. Was just listening to the news and it said nothing about it so am assuming it was just a joke. Don't wanna scare or annoy by posting this anyone just wondering if any one heard anything about this?

Hi guys. This post is about the Dublin Bus special event service to Slane.

    From Dublin Bus.ie

"Dublin Bus will operate a Special Bus transfer to Oasis at Slane Castle on Saturday 20th June 2009.

The buses will depart from Parnell Square West from 12:00hrs until 18:00hrs at a cost of €20.00.

The return service will operate directly after the event.

Bus tickets can be purchased from Dublin Bus, 59 Upper O’Connell Street, the Sound Cellar, Nassau Street and from any Ticketmaster outlet.
    "

Buses will start at 12pm and continue through the day, with buses leaving once they are full. There is usually a wait of 10minutes max between each bus leaving.

The buses used are normal city buses, so not alot of luggage can be held. You may be refused to board if you have too much luggage to bring on board.

Alcohol is not permitted on board the buses, either is smoking. Plain clothes Gardai will be heading out on buses to clamp down on this.

Dublin Bus just want us all to enjoy the gig, so hopefully there'll be no trouble.

    Hope this helps.

Does that mean alcohol is not allowed to be consumed on board, or your not allowed bring it full stop??

Why do people keep asking the same questions over and over? Most of the answers are on the Ticketmaster website.

    Hey,

Does anyone know how strick they are about bringing drink into slane, like if i put Vodlka into a water bottle will they take it off me???

also do they check thoroughly ur back packs??? might think of a way of sneeking drinkk into the place if needs be :D

  • Registered Users, Subscribers, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,585 ✭✭✭✭antodeco

With regards to drink, just remember, this is not the first gig ever to be held in Ireland! Little ideas you have of sneaking in drink, are well known! Plastic bottles are the best way. I would recommend to bring spare bottle lids, as they will take them off you.

Thanks for your reply..... well i only intended on sneeking in drink if i wasn gonna be allowed bring it in plastic bottles so i assume from ur post that it will be fine to have spirits in a water bottle..?? minus the lid :o

Hey, i'm headin to Slane on Saturday, it says no cameras on d ticket, but just wonderin does dat mean like professional equiptment or will they not allow just normal cameras in either???????

You're right, generally it means no professional equipment. You'll be fine with a standard small camera, sure you only have to go to any gig now to see how many people bring cameras.

The no cameras rule is generally just there on the t&c's as a legal disclaimer.

But having said that, "if" they wanted to they could confiscate the camera or refuse admission but I've never ever seen it being done.

Just bought two tickets via ticketmaster printout. How hard/easy is it to pick up the tickets down there? is it hard to find or very time consuming?

Did you not just print them out off your computer? Or are they the pick up tickets? If so then there will be a ticketmaster booth/trailer at both entrances to the castle on the day.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 702 ✭✭✭cork*girl

our tickets are just print outs I think.. my friend has them.. is that correct or will we need to pick them up or something?

I'm confused.com i printed out something which i thought was a page which will let me pick up the tickets down there. Now i'm not sure. the print out i have says on top right hand corner 'This is your ticket' 'Present this entire page at the event' then theres a print out of what appears to be a ticket on it. theres a load of garbage underneath this but at the bottom right there is a barcode.

Now at the risk of sounding completely stupid will this be accepted at the gate or will i have to exchange it at a booth before i go in! would like to know before i go is all!

Hi, I think you used the ticketfast method rather than box office collection. With ticketfast you basically print out the ticket and on entrance to slane the barcode on the ticket is scanned thus giving you entry. You will have received an email confirming if you used the ticketfast method.

Once the ticket is printed its pretty much the same as a standard ticketmaster ticket. It has a front and back and says this is your ticket on it in a pdf format. Once you have a barcode on it happy days just print it out and present it on the day. The ticket you have can only be scanned once so don't leave any copies around when you print it out.
