Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Dear Patrons, greetings from the south of france.
    Copper Pipe has retaken the top of the league....showing a will of Iron in doing so. But the chasing pack are still in the hunt with Shano88 getting in on the action.
    Last week we posted the question if Trigger Happy's 2 point wooden spoon record could ever be bettered, well it nearly was. Trigger Happy again scores 2 points. Thats 4 points in 2 weeks. The race to the bottom is well and truely on.
    However, $hifty is still in bottom place, but Onecoldhand has extended the gap by 1 point. Manual man gets top score for the week, his 34 points leaving the rest of us in the shadows.
    The average score this week was the same as the last 3 weeks.... 17 points.

    Dear Patrons,
    First a reminder that the transfer window will open on 10 Nov at about 9am. For those of us propping up the league this is good news. Rules for the transfer window are posted above.
    Bezuaua has retaken the top of the league....and is closely shadowed by Spacecowb0y and Copper pipe. Shano88 is closing the gap on the top three though and his 36 points is the top score of the week.
    $hifty has consolidated his place at the foot of the table with a depressingly low 4 points. With a 16 point gap between him and One Cold hand it looks like $hifty will take some shifin from 20th spot.
    The average score this week has dropped to 16 points. A massive 25 players scored 0 or less....that is 20% of total players picked. The transfer window is indeed needed.

    Go ahead, those were the rules. Can those who've missed their go have another chance at the end or can they jump in at any time?
    Are we just to skip roryc altogether, as far as I know his ban is permanent on this forum but he is still (barely) active on boards?

    They can jump in any time up until no.1 makes their selection.

    Actually it's their tough luck for missing their chance, as per rule 7.
    Transfer window closes when no.1 makes their selection or when the two hours are up - whichever is first.

    Mc Geady and Ozil out for Wanyama and Moses. I suppose at least the latter 2 should actually start matches...where as the former didnt.
    Still have my keeper McGregor out injured, but he is due back.
    And then there is Rojo. He could be out for a long while.
    And Rooney is playing deep.
    And Kompany is playing for an out of form team.

    Sigh.

    pibcmpqgu.pngI've seen a few changes made today which I think will weaken the teams, there's a very good chance that yours will backfire but it'll hardly be spectacular. How far has Ozil fallen when Wanyama is considered a decent alternative??

    Happy with Barkley in for Schurlle myself. Was going to bring Berahino in for Eto'o but Lucas Hood just nabbed him before me, anything else seemed sidewards or backwards now that he's getting game time.

    I definitely took a couple of punts on my changes! My defence got 21 out of my 23 points this week, so wasn't going to change those. Mirallas and Countinho on the other hand have been brutal (though I think Mirallas is nearly back)!

    Coutinho has actually looked very sharp lately and (possibly) nailed down a starting spot. I took out Ade who is subject to rotation now it seems, and hadn't done much anyway. Was glad to snap up Benteke, banned for the next couple of games i think, but he's the main man at Villa, and, well i really rate him. Bardsley's been rubbish for me, lack of cs but always picking up bookings and his place looks under threat - got in Caulker for him - i'm hoping he'll do ok for me 'til the next transfer window :p Lallana who i have is another concern with limited game time lately, but alas only the 2 transfers! :p

    The first game week since our transfer window- we would expect to see some big scores and a higher average
    The big news is that Copper pipe is back...and back on top of the league. There are a good few teams in the hunt though and a lot can happen in the next 25 weeks.
    $hifty has consolidated his place at the foot of the table with a depressingly low 4 points, for the second week in a row. He is now 23 points adrift at the foot of the league. Bad luck that one of his transfers, Downing, called in sick on his first day of duty.
    CSF meanwhile is top dog for the week showing that those of us in the bottom half of the table still have a little fight left in us.
    The average score this week has dropped to just over 15 points. Looks like the transfer window has not helped our averages.

    Dear Patrons,
    Welcome to the start of the festive season! Some of our managers seem to have started the festivities early judging by the scores this week.
    This big news is that Bezuaua has ousted Copper pipe from the summit and done so with a glittering 15 point gap. Rory C, gone but not forgotten, is still making his presence felt and joins Copper Pipe and Spacecowb0y in joint second place. It will take a few Christmas Crackers to sort that lot out. Nuts and Shano88 are still sniffing around though.
    $hifty has increased his gap at the bottom to 30 points. He really is determined to hold on to his wooden spoon placing, not even Mrs Claus could get a rise out of $hifty at the moment.
    Swiper and Rory C are top scorers for the week with 30 points.
    The average score this week jumped to 18 points but over 30 players scored 0 this week. That number can only increase over the busy Christmas period.

    Not too much movement in the league this week.
    Bezuaua increased his lead at the top to 20 points. Copper pipe is doing a Southampton and dropping down the table. Rory C and Spacecowb0y keep the pressure on at the top but Shano88 is getting in on the action up there too.

    $hifty has broken in to double figures for the first time in a while. And things do start to look better for him with Downing facing some tasty fixtures, Shaw on the comeback from injury, Ramsey finally getting some points and Sakho due back this weekend. But I don’t think Bezuaua will be too worried.
    Does anyone actually read these reports?!
    Swiper’s 31 points sees him top of the weekly rankings for the second week in a row and continue his climb up the table from 15th in GW11 to 10th this week. The average score this week holds steady at 18 points but 42 players contributed 0 or less. Those of us at the bottom of the table could do with a winter wildcard.

    I do too, though it ain't pretty reading for my group of lads. I took a chance on benteke at the start and the ungrateful fcuker got sent off in his first game for me.

    Then I got rid of him, and he scores on his first day back. Hes dead to me.

    Dear Patrons,
    The Festive season has hit with a bang! In a week of key injuries and suspensions to our FPL teams - the draft has just gotten more interesting.
    First, a dis-honourable mention for our one time noble leader- Copper pipe. He is a bit like Liverpool in his slip down the table this last few weeks. However Shano88 seems to be like Man united with another strong week as he continues his push up the league. Spacecowboy has had a blip that has allowed RoryC to make his presence felt at the top. Bezuaua holds on to top spot but with an injury to Aguero there is hope for the rest of us.
    At the foot of the table we have some strong scores from Myself, Dahat and $hifty.
    Slingerz is doing his best to join us in the battle of the also rans.
    A score of 3 points gives Lucas Hood the weekly wooden spoon but a cup of the finest Mulled wine for Manual Man for his top score of 27 points and his 3 place jump up the table.

    There is only one real story in this weeks update.
    RoryC has come in with 57 points. The hamsters have been up all night checking this score, but it holds true. Despite Zabaleta giving 0 points the rest of his team chipped in with a total of 57 points. Outstanding performance for the departed one.
    Elsewhere Shano88 has moved up to joint 3rd place and our one timeleader Copperpipe continues his slide down the table to 7th. Swiper has also made a jump up the table to 8th place.
    At the foot of the table it is much of muchness really. Some steady scoring for those of us in 15th place or lower. But Fingers (3 points) and Manual man (7 points) need to look over their shoulders as a dramatic improvement in performance will be needed to avoid getting sucked in to a relegation dogfight.
    FPL made some changes over the weekend to some players names. Diego Costa has become Costa and the fada over the 'a' in Fabregas's name was also changed to point in a different direction. Rightly messed up my database, but scores should be ok now.
