Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No overly impressed by the contents this month. Had a look at a YouTube video and its mostly meh. I thought one of the items was a pizza cutter
but turns out its just a pen
. Remember this a recurring subscription even if you only buy one month. I signed up for 3 months (Oct-Dec) then unsubscribed. Hoping December being Christmas will be good

It's safe to unsub now is it? It won't cancel the rest and refund your money?

It looks like a really good idea, I might get a month and try it out, thanks OP for sharing :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,845 ✭✭✭Jet Black

Yeah its safe, takes them 48+ hours to cancel. No cancel sub button you have to mail them so don't leave it until its too late. I'm not a fan of these rolling subscriptions that you have to jump through hoops to cancel.

    Email from them.
Sorry to see you go! I have set your subscription to cancel at the end of the current period so you're all set. Since you have already been charged you will receive this crate but will not be charged again moving forward. Please note your account will be active through the end of your current subscription period. On the date currently shown as an upcoming renewal, the subscription will be updated to reflect the canceled status. Also, if you would ever like to rejoin us in the future, just send us a message and we can easily get your account reactivated.

Might be best to wait until a day or two before. Some people get them early and then post the contents like this month and you can still get it.

Just came downstairs to my loot crate waiting for me. Avoided spoilers so I'm looking forward to seeing what's in it.

Really fast ship times, plus the tracking I was given never worked for me so never expected it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,845 ✭✭✭Jet Black

Mine came bang on 20th so happy with that.

I'll be doing the same from now on. It was anti climatic knowing whats in it.

If you signed up for 3 months can you cancel now? Or will this affect my next two crates?

You can cancel and you will still get the crates you have paid for however you need to email them to cancel, there is no way to do it through the control panel.

    Got mine this morning.
LOVE the t-shirt :D and that apple sweet thing was probably one of the most sour things I have ever eaten!

Without giving anything away, are the people who received their crates happy with their contents?

Not really to be honest but loved the tshirt. First time doing it though, we'll give it another few months.

Box contents a waste of money but surprise element makes it worthwhile, will see if next month any better:)

Wasnt too impressed to be honest, didnt like the tshirt, or else i dont get it.. looking at past ones online this one seems poor to me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,845 ✭✭✭Jet Black

At least its not as bad as the infamous boffer bag of crap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,179 ✭✭✭salamanca22

I was fairly happy with what was in the box.
I love the t shirt and the book is hilarious. Also thumbs up for the awesome comic with the limited edition cover!

Yep - true enough, but I thought they would had a lot of options given it's Halloween, and I had expected this one to be above par....
It's not terrible - just I though it would have been better....

First one was alright, not superb. My god, do kids eat those sour sweets daily??

I guess Ill have to play DR3 now though

Even though the contents aren't fully my bag, I'm happy enough with it.

Not pushed on the shirt and haven't seen any of the Sharknado films so the book's not for me but as a product (the lootcrate) that is aimed at geeks and gamers, who have broad taste, I think it's good enough. I read the Walking Dead so I'm happy with the variant cover (even though I bought that issue last week!).

I'll wait and see what the theme is for November before subscribing but I think I'll definitely go for the Christmas one, assuming of course that the theme will be Christmas :)

    Is anybody else still waiting?

Also for those who received it was it by courier or an post?

Trying to avoid all the spoilers is getting hard!

If you look on there twitter there's a new tracking link. DHL global tracking I think. It's not much use though, mine's been the same since the 22nd and still says it's in CA.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,179 ✭✭✭salamanca22

The tracking only works as far as the california sorting center after that it can take up to 10 days before you will get your loot crate.

My loot crate left california on the 13th and I got it on the 21st for instance.

The later you order the crate the later is is sent from the US.

Still have not received mine, but i only signed up on the 26th of september on the monthly drip, so i presume i'll be at the back of the que. Tracking link not working either. I'm sure it will turn up eventually !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,117 ✭✭✭Tails142

Wasn't that impressed with this one, will probably throw everything out except
the pen and the t shirt when the next one comes. The t-shirt is pretty poor quality too so doubt it will survive too many washes before the print goes.

Signed up for 6 months so they still have time to impress me :-)

I guess I am more of a geek than most people here :(
I love the comic and the book as much as the t shirt and the pen!

I found the t shirt to be alright quality to be honest the print seems well done and the t shirt itself is 100% cotton. I haven't washed it yet though and am worried it will shrink a little due to being 100% cotton.

Well looks like I won't be getting mine til at the earliest Tuesday. I'm not really as bothered though, a friend posted a picture of their open crate on facebook so it won't be a surprise now! TBH could be better. Some silent hill or even supernatural stuff would have been nice.

Have you gotten yours yet? Once I saw DHL I should have known

    Very happy with this crate
Big Walking Dead fan, collect the volumes rather than the issues, but happy to add this to my collection :)

T-shirt and pen are really cool, no complaints about the quality

Ours came by post and we were one of the first on here to get it. Strange how some are delayed by so much.

I'm rather impatient so I hate long delivery times. I think I'll be cancelling Loot Crate and trying Nerdblock or Horrorblock for a month and see how that goes! There isn't as many exclusives and no theme but you're gaurenteed a t-shirt each month. IMO great concept, bad execution.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭dunworth1

still no sign of mine today so i contacted support to see what up

if its going to be taking this long every month i'm not sure i'll be sticking with it

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 5,390 Mod ✭✭✭✭Optimus Prime

mine arrived like 10 days ago, dunno what the delay is about for some people.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,635 ✭✭✭donegal.

surely you should be expecting your november crate to arrive , not the october one?

  • Registered Users Posts: 494 ✭✭The Gibzilla

Got mine last week, but I emailed Loot Crate two days before it arrived to ask what the delay was because two people I'd referred to Loot Crate had already got their crates. They told me to give it a week, if I still didn't receive mine they'd fire out another one. Email address is: weloveyou@lootcrate.com

Send them on an email and they might be able to help you if you've still received yours.

On a side-note - I wasn't overly impressed with it. I'll try next month's crate but if it's not to my taste then I'm out.

    Got mine this morning.
My sisters a massive fan of Sharknado so she stole the book, I love dead rising so the pen is pretty cool but I'm not a fan of the walking dead so that stuffs a bore.
I still think I'm going to try Nerdblock and Horrorblock this month instead. Customer servies were great though, they really helped me a lot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,207 ✭✭✭maximoose

    November crate confirmed to have
    another T-shirt
    , and items from:
Halo, Megaman, Street Fighter, Assassin's Creed and more.

Be keeping my subscription for now :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 400 ✭✭truedoom

I signed up in September and the October crate was my first.

a little disappointed with it tbh.

It was okay, but hoping next months will be much better.

mine arrived on like the 22nd or so. very surprised on how quick it was :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,845 ✭✭✭Jet Black

Another box of disappointment was delivered today.. Well OK some of it was good :)

Was this the 'Battle' themed crate? I wasn't expecting them to be out so soon!
