Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

new emobile bill pay customers only - if i was one in the past but am now prepay would I be a new bill pay customer if I signed up again? Also, the offer says ''you and a friend'' so is this offer transferable between us all i.e. Anyone that has availed of it could invite someone else...

You'd have to ask them directly. I was screwed out of upgrade credit by O2 recently where they said (after the sale) that the offer was for new pre-pay customers and since i had a bill with them 8 years ago i wasn't a new customer.

I didn't get a flier but i qualify for the offer. Unless it's a different offer. You might still need an actual eircom account number with the flier, it says it's restricted to eircom customers only. (Unless, again, it's a different offer).

I was refused a couple of days ago and I asked for a supervisor to look into it and I am still waiting to hear back, I rang and it still hasn't been looked into

Same network, so it could be locked. You'd have to try O2, VF or 3 sim.

What did you get? EDIT: A one X?

Just signed up for a HTC One X. I had to pay a 130 deposit along with the phone charge of 189, is this normal? They said it happens on everyone and that you get it back in a few months, but its their insurance kind of thing?

Seems normal enough, and since you get it back it isn't really an issue (unless you can't afford it right now or they don't pay you back)

I signed up yesterday & wasn't asked for a deposit!:)

I'm not a customer of theirs & used my Mum's Eircom account details!

I think it may be a random thing???

Might depend on the original eircom account and how you look. My friend was asked for a deposit but he does look like a bit of a scut :)

How good is coverage with emobile, if its with meteor then data is ropey at best of times where I am in galway city, anyone?

    EMobile is just rebranded meteor.

The best thing for anyone to do is get a pay as you go sim and try out the voice and data coverage before committing to a contract.

I think eMobile can roam off Vodafone 3G in some parts where Meteor cannot. The eircom 3G network has crap coverage and the Vodafone one is much better.

Signed up and orderd phone yesterday, being delivered today, far easier to do over the phone.
    Many thanks OP

How long till people got their phones (ordered the one x) - or at least a tracking number?

Ordered mine Tuesday - was told initially it'd be delivered yesterday "at the latest" but would receive "an email within hours"
Was then told today they had no way of knowing status of the order so "check back late next week. Wtf?

Any word on eMobile getting the Galaxy S3?

Wonder if that will be included in this deal when it launches?

Anyone got a voucher code they can PM for use?Having no luck with account number or requesting discount directly through eMobile.Cheers.

I don't know if either of those things is still the case. Certainly I've found the eMobile/Meteor 3G access to be considerably quicker and wider spread than Vodafone's.

It existed as of January/February of this year anyway:

Does that mean that your connection is moved entirely to Vodafone (like being abroad), or if they automatically piggyback on Vodafone behind the scenes where they've no 3G coverage though?

As I said, I've found the eMobile 3G coverage to be better than Vodafone's so far, but I don't think I've been out of Leinster since switching over.

...Also I would recommend anyone who is thinking of getting the Galaxy S3 to wait a few more days. It should be released within the next 2 weeks, and it will be available on this offer. I played with an S3 yesterday and I have to say -it's by far the best phone ive used in a long long time!

I'm waiting for the S3 anyway!

Going into an emobile store is a waste of time, HTC one x is €249 in store or €189 online... Heck of a difference
