Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You know there are other people who might like to purchase a copy of it, but there'll be none left the way you're going! :P

Hmm, well, it's estimated 800-1000 copies were produced. I'd wager about a quarter are MIA forever. That leaves 600-800 copies left wild, or 598-798 discounting your two copies.

And I've seen about 3 or 4 on eBay right now, plus the one your mate owns. I'd love to be able to compile a list of all the owners and find out where all the copies are round the world.

It only counts if it comes with the small black book of hints too.

Here's the annoying thing for myself. I have the game with a new battery and battery holder soldered in by yourself, the map, the booklet, the small black book of hints...

But no bloody cart box or inlay!!!

I've been looking for the full gold PAL box on it's own and inlay for years, but they just don't exist on their own. Beyond annoying.

I got the cart and all the inserts along with a Snes in a secondhand shop years ago. In fact, it was my mam who picked it up. Had a selection of about 20 amazing snes games. All with their booklets and inserts - just no boxes. Really frustrating as you know at some point in time someone just decided to throw them all out.

Boxed GBC which is a nice thing. I would want it myself but I'm only interested in a boxed Teal or boxed Jap one.

**** sake, sometimes I wish I could just blow something up

In about a weeks time Jack Burton hears a knock on his door... He innocently thinks, "ah, pizza time. That was quick!". Looking out his window to see who it is, he doesn't see the usual 4 Star Pizza moped draped against his garden wall. Instead,he sees a black C-Class Mercedes Benz, with blacked out windows. "Odd, a rather fancy way to deliver a pepperoni & cheese deluxe" he mutters, but nonetheless, answers anyway.

Instead of the spotty delivery driver, he's greeted by these two chaps who wish to discuss his plans to blow something up

So there I am, being good this month. You know, not using ebay (ok, failing to win auctions on ebay...!), not indulging in my retro habit. All going swimmingly and then, something pops up...

I won't be able to use it.
    It's already ridiculously pricey.
I'm not even sure what it is.

But I've never seen it, or anything like it before and my love of all things cube are telling me to bid.

    Hey Enternow,
I mentioned it before but in about 1 or 2 months I have enough mods that need doing that it'll pay for a nice little holiday and a few cocktails.
If your still available then that is.

Picked up a nice little semi portable projector there. Its not hidef like my other one but it supports 2 vga, composite and component video connections as well as audio on its built in speaker.
Might be handy for some consoles and shmups in tate mode(plus its very light so can be moved around easily, its one of those LCD projectors).

    Price: free :)

It needs a prism replaced as it has some burn in but after contacting the manufacturer thats only about 20 euro. It still works fine now but you can see some burn in while viewing anything dark.

    Edit:
Posted this in the wrong section :o
Just spotted that its also go an S-video connection as well.

Starting bid is a bit high.
You can tell he/she is new to ebay. 50 euro shipping from Dublin to Dublin seems kind of high as well, even though It's a bit heavy.

Star Control II is worth buying in any form but the US version with the Hyperspace map is essential, I know, I had the Euro edition and had to draw my own as I went along!
It's definitely one of my bucket list games.
I know folks, well folks 'round here, rave about Earthbound but my RPG of the early 90's has to be SCII, it's fantastic.

Has anyone ever bought any wholesale lots of games from Ebay?
You know the sort of auction, "Lot of 50 untested famicom/super famicom games", usually from Japan.
Is it worth the risk or are these always just a bunch of dead games?

I see a few up on ebay at the moment and they do look very tempting, but I don't really want a bunch of dead carts either.

    Thoughts?

Depends on the seller, if they're primarily selling retro games on ebay then I'd doubt there is anything of value untested in the lot. Most likely common as muck stuff and or dead carts.
Now if the seller normally specialises in car parts or hats then chances are a bit better..

It's the "untested" part that puts me off.

If the price is right I might take a risk and see how it goes. Not expecting to get anything rare but might increase my collection if 60-80 percent are working.

Just stuck a Dreamcast and PS2 slim up on adverts.
35 for the DC and 25 for the PS2. Doing a retro clear out before I head away for a week or so. Pics to follow this evening. RGB cable with the PS2 and not sure about the DC.
