I did last week and I feel a lot better about it after yday especially as wellbeck made way. wellbeck may be cheapish and playing for arsenal but he cant hit a barn door in the league and giroud is back
rvp was awful too needs a rest which would mean Rooney on pens.....

I don't think RVP does need a rest. United aren't playing that much football. He just isn't playing well. I'm not sure the new styles they have been trying suit him. Yesterday he looked to be out on the right a lot.

I don't like the fact that fellaini has entered my thought process for next few weeks!!!!

Forster to Green and Pelle to Austin will leave me with 3.1 million banked.

I can then go for Baines in for Chambers or could go for Terry in for Moore and get Cresswell in.

Might just make the moves to free up the cash this week and then worry about how I'll spend it next week.

Giroud looks like a good replacement for Pelle. The only question is how fit he is and if he is going to get 90 minutes. Wellbeck could do with a rest so...

He didn't even need 90 minutes last night so why not?

Welbeck Oberton and Clichy to Giroud Waynama and Dummett for a minus 4. Yay or Nay?

I would go for it. Wanyama is the one I would look at again but the money is tight I guess? Better than injured Obertan, obviously.

I assume you have Sanchez? Giroud might be overkill when we're playing so poorly; I also don't see him starting every match.

Just have the 4.7 so he probably is the best option. only problem would be double cover for Newcastle with Krul too but i can live with that for a few weeks.

To be fair most of the top teams are playing below my expectations.
Chelsea scored 2 and then failed to score again after the red card.
Only 3 top teams scored more goals than Arsenal, Newcastle occupying 5th spot with 14 goals scored (Crystal Palace on the bottom with the same number). We might be losing games, but goals are there. If Giroud starts there is a good chance he will be involved.

Will think about this but have a good feeling about him coming back.

Brady 4.6 if he starts today.

Yeah I had Giroud last season and enjoyed the points. I just prefer Bony for essentially the same price although I don't have Siggy any more to be fair.

Completely forgot about Bony - nice 3 fixtures ahead.
I still have Siggy, but can see few Bony's goals assisted by him:D

See post in the transfer thread. His short term fixtures are not great. Although he could easily get an odd assist with his set pieces. If its a 5th mid you'll rarely start maybe worth the punt. Also ideally you'd want a couple more games to be 100% sure he's secure to start.

That would be a win-win if I pull the trigger on the transfer :)

No way anyone could know that. Even Harry couldn't know that to be fair.

Might have to bring Brady in myself, currently stuck with cork as my 5th midfielder due to having all the big hitters.

Kane hopefully can kick on now, absoulote bargain if he does.

He's a star and all that, a real points magnet, but I've gotta look at the bigger picture and think abut getting Costa in:)

Depends how long you want to keep them. For the next 4 gw's I'd prefer ings to bring you up to the wildcard I'd prefer austin

Wilson, Baines, Downing, Chadli injured. King dropped. Pellè & Clyne facing a tough run. Fábregas, Diego Costa & Pellè on 4 YC.

Looks like I've only 3 safe players Krul, Sanchez & Aguero. Please put them in cotton wool until their next FPL game.

I've never faced such a crisis in 4.5 years playing the game. Have to analyse a bit the fixtures but could see myself breaking my transfer record by playing a virtual mini-WC this week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,012 ✭✭✭✭titan18

Are people dropping their Southampton defenders now? Who are the replacements, not sure whether to get rid of Clyne or not looking at what's available instead.

Tempted by Peile to Bony straight swap. also have Sterling as well so could get rid and bring in Costa and 5.7m or Rooney and 6.5m with -4 on both. Didn't see the game today how did Sterling play? Sis solo being a big option.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,915 ✭✭✭✭menoscemo

Have to move tonight if I am going to do this:
Fab to Oscar to free funds for Pelle to Costa. Getting Costa in is my number 1 priority. I have just enough money and Oscar is going to rise tonight so no time to waste if I am going to do tit. Hate to Drop Fab which has me in 2 minds...

The only other Viable alternative I can see is downgrading Downing to Brady but that would leave me with 2 cheapie Midfielders (Brady and Boyd).
    So basically the options are:

    1. Fab to Oscar and Pelle to Costa
    or
    2. Downing to Brady and Pelle to Costa.

Definitely get rid of Sterling. Liverpool are woeful. He's a waste of money in your team.

Downing may be out for a few weeks if that helps things.

Must be my worst signing so far, brought him in as part of a hit and then he gets injured.

Ben Dinnery said earlier he could be a few weeks out alright:

@BenDinnery: @moris_fc West Ham is still assessing #Downing but could be a few weeks

  • Registered Users Posts: 532 ✭✭✭Arbitrary

Assuming the worst for Downing. I need some options for a cheap and cheerful replacement. I've 0.8 in the bank and shy .2 for a straight swap for Siggy. My plan is to ship out Downing and Moses which will free up 12mil.

I need to hang on to 0.4 to bring in Hazard for ADM. I've 4.9 to play with.

I'm considering Boyd or Wanyama, is there anyone else i'm potentially overlooking?

That helps a lot thanks. Given I have a little wiggle room with prices (0.1m) it also means I can wait until after the CL games before moving.

Thinking of a -4 hit, Forster, Downing and Pelle out with Krul, Di Maria and Kane in?
    What do you think?

Done, said I would do it tonight as if prices rise, won't be able to afford it!

How about James McCarthy for 4.8? He's playing regularly, and Everton's next 3 home fixtures should be winnable for them....

EDIT: Having said that, the league is crazy this year! You wouldn't know what could happen...

Planning to bring in Baines this week. Probably going to ditch Sakho to make way.

    Kaboul/Sahko - Baines/Kane

**** Hazard has gone to 10.1... I really should of moved on him last week!!

Missing the .1 to upgrade Fab to Hazard!

Getting rid of Forster... who are people replacing him with??

Who has got a decent run of fixtures?

Guzan is a popular one Green has decent enough fixtures if you can stomach that!!

I'm taking a punt on Green. 6 home fixtures in his next ten.

    Leicester home
    Swansea away
    Burnley home
    Everton away
    West Brom home
    Arsenal away
    Palace home
    Swansea home
    Burnley away
    Man United home

Already moved on Yun last night, couldn't stomach 2 QPR "defenders"

Contemplating getting Blackett for Man Utd.

Considering with the fixtures coming up.. transferring either Costa or Aguero to Rooney :) Am I mad??

    that's my front 3!
also contemplating Blackett in for Wilson
Shaw looks likely to be out for a few weeks now too and Blackett can play left back

Sold Tadic and Pelle for Siggy and Austin.

Gives me 3.7 to remove my Milner gamble next week.
Austin looks a good move fixture wise but slight concern that his purple patch might end soon.

    What's your midfield?

    Been looking at

    Baines to Azpi
    Hutton to Blackett
    Austin to Rooney
    Fab to hazard
Di Maria to 6.4m midfield (give or take price changes on above over next week)

IM looking at Forster to ddg. Decent fixtures up to the wildcard and only 3 goals conceded against Chelsea city and arsenal.
