We have the 757,s and we have the A321,s. In my opinion the airbus is the better product, its worth paying the extra money for.

Figured you must have sold your million shares already.

Is anyone operating the BAE146 aircraft in their fleets? If so whats the benifit over the ATR,s? How are they for profit? What airports are you using them for?

I only have 1. Making 60K a flight on the Dallas - Linthicum route. I only switched it to that route today though so can't give you any more long term details than that right now. It was the first plane I bought for WHU Air.

Is it odd that I have had absolutely no mechanial problems of any kind in my 10 fleet airline? God, I hope I haven't just cursed myself :D

Keep an eye on your e-mail tab- and when you ave unread mails- some of them tend to be cargo offers. DO NOT accept any offers to transport cargo from Columbia to Miami under any circumstances....... cost me $2m earlier :(

Ive a fleet of nearly 100, Ive only ever had 3 or 4 breakdowns. Keep your staff happy (especially Mechanics, give em a rise now and again) and keep your rep up this helps. Keep me informed of the performance of your BAE146 if you dont mind..

Your rep generally stays at 100% once you get there, its very difficult to drop it.
I wouldnt give staff wage rises unless they had a status which wasnt happy.

The 757 300 is one of the best value planes circa 7mill (profit of 6-700 k per flight)and the A340-200 is possibly the next best value at 16 odd million (Profit of 1.15-1.6 mill per flight.
I am buying only a340-200 and starting to buy a240-600 from here on in.

Shut down bases in Vancouver and Abu Dhabi, due to lack of available airports for the atr42/72.

I have now opened San Diego as a Base, 2 new ATR42's making 55-60k per flight, B737-500 will be based here instead of Dublin. Also new B737-900 will be based here. A319CJ has started a San Diego - New Zealand route tonight.

Trans Pacific flight will start shortly from SAN also using B787.

    2 A320's, 1 A321 & 2 ATR42-600 added to the fleet today.

Share Price 2.29 and rising nicely. Invest now, large gains will be made over the coming weeks.

I've chanced my arm negotiating on cargo offers and you can usually squeeze another 30% on top of the original offer out of them before the refuse.

I got caught by customs officers in Miami for transporting drugs for a Columbia cartel- and was fined 4 times the fee I was paid for the transport (which I had negotiated upwards)- so I was out $2m- which was a real bummer......

They are a powerhouse. Cheaper than B787-8,slightly less payload and range. Have 19 A342s and 2 B788s. Saving at the moment. Going to buy 4 more A342 in about 4 hours. Planning to have 25 then start increasing my B788s. Then its the A380 as a target!!!

Want to see how my share price jumps when I buy the 4 A342. Currently at $8.65 with $65M in the bank

Always double the offer. I have had 4 cargo runs now and I doubled their offer every time and they have always accepted.

    Well,
You have to wait 24 hours after buying those shares before they can be sold so you cant sell bought shares straight away.

Cargo seems pretty random. Have had 4 so far, grossing 150k.

OK....my net was down earlier so the planned purchase of 4 A342s in one go didnt happen. Logged on now, have $70M in the bank. Can get the 4 a/c or wait a while to launch some more flights and get the $77M needed for an A350-1000, same range as A342 but has 350 vs 239 seats.

Worth it to get or just get the 4 A342s? Am inclined to get the 4 rather than 1 a/c tbh. And don't want to save for another 4-5 days to get a A388!

Edit: Bought the 4 A342s. $64M paid, no discounts on airline manager!! Launched them and got $6M on the four routes. 10 more sorties and they break even. Shares up to $9.10. Still have $14.9 in bank so will have another by midnight, have 4-5 routes to start in next hour!!!

Go Rustbucket Airlines! I have 3 737-700 now which is why i had that 29% jump. Will be sticking with expanding the medium to long range ac for now. Even though the fokker 100's can bring in $40k+ every hour, but you have to start the route every hour!!

I can only fly 20 flights at a time, does this change and when??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 812 ✭✭✭Dacian

You can fly all your flights at the same time. The 20 flights limit refers to the method of starting multiple flights at the same time. So if you have 59 routes like me it takes 3 multi starts to get all of them. I didn't discover the multi start till I had nearly 40 routes,so lots of clicking from me!!!

Currently you can have up to 400 Active routes, but they say they will increase this to 500.

Thanks Kippy. Looking at your fleet and its where I want to be. How did you get the 2 A388? Did you buy them? I see that you can get 2 by exchanging 4000 pax points, I have 810 so a long way to go. Seems very hard to get them. i naively spent some of mine to get a staff paycut 2 weeks ago.

Maybe my strat should be to build up my A342s to about 50 (or more!) then look at B787-8, A350s and A380. Don't see the need in going for A333/A332/A343/A346. I should pick up a concorde and B747 just to get the achievement.

I know a few souls have bought the A319CJ. How is it working out? $1.54 is a great price but are getting the returns? What is the ticket price? You can exchange >3000 pax points for a 'business jet'. Am wondering is buying the A319CJ normally the same thing? If so I will invest in a small business only sub-fleet.

On another topic: Whats your stangest route. I think my Quito-Ulanbaatar or my Chennai-Zanderij could be in the running there.

A tip for any budding investors, I am running two airlines RangeAir and Aer Airlines. RangeAir is doing very well as the table above shows, but Aer will be investing in new aircraft in the next few days and the prices should similarly jump. Buy now to maximise returns.

Stared off by buying 3 ATR 42-500's - good move or not?

Also bought stock in these airlines -
