Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

id guess you can say "no visitor contacted me"

No need to jump the gun. I had a friend who got an email asking him to meet up on Wednesday of our last semester study week.
He was in there for lest than five minutes.

"This is your coop vist by a member of the department. Is they anything you want to say about your coop?"

    "No"

I'm 99.9% sure I registered for repeats last week. I don't have any option to register for them now so does that mean I already have registered?

Not surprised you have repeats by the sounds of it..

The repeat registration was there, I told someone how to do it, they checked and the link wasnt there.. I went back on to check and it was gone for me.

lol I probably deserved that, yes :D The amount of people on here who are 'Do I have to repeat this test?', 'Please calculate my QCA?', 'Can I still get a 2.2?' is getting a bit much :)

Hi Guys. My bike was stolen from outside UL arena last week.

I have contacted Gardai, security etc.

It's a blue Rockville mountain bike

If anyone knows where it is or has any info which may lead to its return please PM me

Sorry to hear about that. Unfortunately you have almost a zero chance of getting it back. Security more than likely watched it happen on the cameras and did nothing about it. I know they've done it in the past.

Sorry to hear as well that your bike got stolen. Security here on campus is a joke.

Spammed with emails from Gabriella Hanrahan throughout the semester, and then she seems to disappear when you have an actual question for her...

She sent an email this morning, so she should be about.

I emailed her about a month ago and got no reply. Emailed her agan about two days ago and got no reply. However, I see that it's not showing up in my sentbox. Sent an email to and from a personal email address and it's working fine, but also isn't showing in my sent box :/ Fairly odd.

Might be handier to do that, thanks. It's not anything urgent anyway. I'd just like to know now if it's the email system acting silly again or not.

Update: I emailed her on my personal email account and she responded quickly, as well as saying that she'd replied to my email already. So it seems there is some issue with the student mail again. Lovely.

whats the story with paying for repeats lads should i have gotten something in the post by now?

Registered for repeats online. well it says i did anyway at the time. There is nothing in the fees section about what to pay. Didnt receive an email to confirm im registered for repeats or anything in the module section to say im registered.

At the time there was a repeat modules section which i completed. Is there a deadline repeat fees have be paid?

Do you know who makes the decision regarding the recruitment?

My e-mail rejection was from Padraig Mooney. When I looked him up it says he is part of the International Education Division so I'm not really sure who makes the decision..

The excuse for my rejection was that there were too many applications.

Yeah, it'll be the 8th at 9am. A complete balls of a system (particularly if you fail) but shur...

EDIT: No wait, I'm wrong. They're out the 6th.

UL changed part of their bureaucracy for the better? What's happened guys...

Is it not the 5th? I'm going by the calendar http://www2.ul.ie/web/WWW/Services/Academic_Calendar/2014_-_15_Academic_Calendar
3rd line under Autumn teaching term, it says
    Results available on line (Repeats)
    1 day
    Fri 06/09/2014
But the 6th is a Saturday, so do they not mean Friday the 5th?
Pretty certain they released them on a Friday last year too

Are graduation robes really €45-€50 to rent for less than two hours? I can't afford that at the moment are they compulsory or what?

Interested to hear the answer on this because there's not a hope in hell I'm renting them.

And would anyone happen to know how I can find out the module codes and module leaders for the upcoming semester?

42 Euro and yes it seems. Also have to be ordered by the 15th.

    Yeah, €40 is a lot.

I hope I can get a third ticket for it, my sister is flying back from Belgium for it.. :(

Without bothering to start a new thread, I have a repeat question -

Is there such thing as a compensatory fail in a repeat? I got an F this semester which I must repeat. I have been very lucky and got a job straight out of college, so obviously failing the repeat is out of the question.

So I ask is, if worse comes to worse, would I still skate by with a D1 or D2?

As long as your QCA is above 2.0, yes you'll be fine with a D2.

EDIT: My own sort of bitch: I'm 3,000 words deep in my Co-op report. 1,700 written tonight. Just the "Opportunities for Learning" and the Post Co-op assessment form to go... Good lord this is tedious nonsense!

Any luck with the third ticket? My boyfriend is trying to get a third too.

I think the two ticket rule is shocking really because I know next year I'm going to have the same problem with my sister too..
