Departing at around 7.30 in the morning from Dublin to Gatwick and arriving back tomorrow night at around 9 - would you think there will be any departure or arrival difficulties in Dublin?

As long as the aircraft is in Dublin for tomorrow, its likely that'll be able to take off. Landing is also likely as I think the winds will have died slightly by then.

    FR701 diverting to Cork

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,144 ✭✭✭✭JCX BXC

FR701 (RYR4SE) diverting to Cork after 2 missed approaches at Kerry.
Considering Cork has had 2 diversions to Shannon already today (Albeit stobart ATR's) I find it an unusual choice.

Had recently a heavy wind landing in one of those Cityjet planes. You're like in a washing machine when landing one like that during a storm. The captain, once touching on the ground, screamed through the PA something like "yihaaaaa" once it was clear we made it safely to the ground. :D Good luck to all the passengers in the planes out there right now :)

LH980 climbing to 21,000ft and diverting somewhere.
FR7063 making a 2nd approach and in the event of a go-around they are diverting to Shannon.
    Meanwhile WX121 has just landed,

I was due to fly on EI3229 GLA - DUB this evening, was cancelled around lunchtime. Sitting in the airport now, it seems pretty wild out here too. Decided to fly to LHR and back to DUB in the morning as only one EI flight tomorrow which could be doubtful.

Dublin airport is wild at the minute, an aircraft has been lifted out of its nose wheel chocs, a baggage trolley has been blown down the ramp and smashed into an aircraft, steps blown over and its supposed to get worse later

    Wow, sounds wild.

Aircraft seem to be having little trouble in the past 30mins.
