these steps are so inviting but i've resisted the temptation of running up them so far..

Ran the 10k in Achill this morning. Absolutely glorious. I loved every gruelling*, gratifying minute of it :D

*Actually wasn't as gruelling as I'd been led to believe. That surprised and pleased me!

Headed out to Gougane Barra in West Cork today for a long run while herself went walking. Spectacular views, hilly but enjoyable, took a dip in the ice cold lake afterwards which I regretted immediately but the sponge cake in the cafe made up for it.

Think this must be the most bizarre one I've ever run! Followed this guys suggested route at sunrise this morning, passed an interesting collection of people along the way ☺

One of the pedestrian bridges forces you into the Treasure Island casino, took a while to track down the exit, staff & punters didn't blink an eyelid!

Yet more runing in the US pics! Start point was in town past the microbrewery pub where we'd sampled the local beers the previous evening and then it was out into the semi desert. Think this holiday is going to make me into an early morning runner as only possible time is really at dawn cause of the heat and even then the kick off temp was ~31.5c at 6am!

Must admit I was looking forward to this jog!

Surfers were out early at ~6:30.

I was in Majorca a few weeks back, got in some really enjoyable (if not steep miles) around the coast roads and up one the local mountains....took a trail route up the mountain in this photo and met some locals who were running it like mountain goats, they made it look so easy!

Rather than going anywhere too exotic yesterday, I took my camera phone out on my usual run round Clontarf and got a few snaps..

Another local gem in the Howth Cliff Run. Here's the route. I took a slight wrong turn coming back towards Sutton after the lighthouse and you can keep on the cliff path for little longer. Next time.

Down to the lighthouse. Some very steep descents here. Apologies to that family that I nearly took out when my momentum got a bit much
