I don't think they make metal ones, It's strange that sometimes the plastic will take more abuse than the metal with less maintenance!!

You should have a look at the Nill (Not sure of spelling) grips they are a great addition to the Xesse! !

Heckler, with any gun follow the marksmanship principles and you will not go far wrong

1 Position and hold- stand upright, place the pistol grip into the web of the hand both thumbs pointing towards ur target

2 Natural alignment - when you bring ur pistol up into the aim it must point naturally at the target, muscles of the arms not being used to pull or push the pistol onto the target, bring the pistol up and adjust ur feet when happy lower and check and test ur position again so that ur coming up onto the centre of ur target.

3 Aiming - both eyes open if possible, look through the centre of the back sight onto the tip of the front sight onto the centre of ur target, once you have ur aim u will focus on the front sight the target becomes a blur, front sight focus.

4 Shot release and follow through - a few deep breaths to oxygenate the body , I then would come up into the aim get my sight picture and take first pressure on the trigger as I'm breathing out from my final deep breath, then elongate the natural pause in ur breathing cycle, u have about 5 -7 sec to squeeze off ur shot, what follow through means is when u squeeze of ur shot keep the trigger held to the rear for a second let everything settle in the recoil and ur pistol should come back onto the centre of the target, it will help u see if ur pulling the pistol of centre for any reason and help with fault finding.If u don't get the shot off come down and start the breathing and aiming process again. If you stay too long in the aim ur body will run out of oxygen and ur muscles will start to shake.

This is the process I was taught others will differ with me I'm sure, but its my way of shooting. And the big word to remember when shooting or training is Consistency. If u consistently follow each principle in sequence, you will improve.

The IPSC is a great looking gun, Is it expensive iv never seen one here? Only the target or standard!!

Iv a Sig X5 I'm pretty happy with but the Xesse has always tempted me!!

Yeah always had my eye on one, No plans to part with the Sig though :P

What ammo have you tried and results ?

I'd say a form for each there is only space for 1 cert No. on each form,and Garda will fill in your pulse detains. It would be interesting reading if we had our own pulse details hhhmmmm lol.
Oh and a wee tip for pistol training - Dry Practice at home with empty casing or chamber plug fitted, way better than firing 100's of rounds at the range
