Ah ok. I just have it as a bookmark so maybe it was the cache - will refresh in future! Thanks :)
I just realised that my script takes the full list of winners and you probably use the tracker facility - different pages. So it could be possible that the tracker system is not updated at the same time as the main list.

But as you say, if it happens again refresh the page and we will know for sure.

194 of today's 9,010 winners are classified as overseas, which represents 2.13% of winners.

This suggests that circa €35.7 million of the €1.678 billion PB fund is held overseas. The bulk of this is most likely Irish emmigants.

    Winnings from todays draw: €0
Total winnings since October 2008 on €18K: €1250

Date of last win: Jan 4th (€50)

Fed up at the Sorry you have no new winners! think I might cash them in.

If my figures are correct it would seem the PB fund is about 1,696,942,222 euro at the end of Feb
    so nearly 1.7 billion
During Feb I reckon the PB fund grew by 17,957,778 euro,
Which means there will be an extra 2,873,244 bonds in each draw during March compared to Febs

I would estimate that at the moment there is nearly a million euros worth of new bonds been bought each day
(My figures dont include bonds that have been cashed in)

My figures for PB fund match yours exactly (€1,696,942,222) for the end of Feb'13.
However, my estimation for growth during Feb'13 was slightly different:
€18,257,778 nett growth in Fund value
2,921,244 nett growth in # PBs

I have attached a PDF going back to Apr'12 FYI showing the relevant numbers.

    Some other points of interest:
    • The total number of prizes is now greater than Dec'12, but the prize fund is just under 64% of what it was.
    • Average return for €50 prizes is now 1.3272% (1.9808% DIRT equiv)
    • Average return for €50 +€100 prizes is now 1.4804% (2.2095% DIRT equiv)
    • The other priizes are so small in number that they should be excluded for nearly everyone ( except the small number of winners)
    • The surge of nett new bonds during Dec & Jan at just under 5m PB per month has now tapered off to Just under 3M during Feb which is very close to what it was from Jul->Nov'12. I still havent figured out this counter intuitive buying pattern during Dec/Jan when set against the significantly reduced prize fund!
@Agent Smyth : if you can see any error in my number , let me know & I can correct

    @ Oaklands
yes i would agree with you figures, went over mine and saw that I made a mistake in my calculations of the PB growth
Should have double checked my figures before posting.
It would be interesting to know how many PBs are cashed in each month as then we could get a true figure of new PB sales.
As regards the sales surge in Dec/Jan apart from the normal sales and Christmas presents I wonder would there be an element of people hiding money but I'm sure this would an ongoing thing rather the an end of year thing.

The normal profile for Dec purchases are that the number of people buying almost doubles in Dec compared to other months, but the nett amount of new bonds (or €) doesnt change significantly in the month of December (Source: Annual reports 2004->2011). The only thing I can think of is that the press coverage surrounding the reduction in the prize fund/return combined with increased DIRT might have been a factor in persuading people to purchase.

It will be interesting to observe the impact of the planned removal of the bank deposit guarantee on deposits (NB: the original €100k scheme will remain in place)

    Winnings from 08/03/13 draw €0

Have to agree the "Sorry you have no new winners!" is really starting to agony me. I know the chances of a big win are non-existent but I was expecting a few more €75/50 wins, Guess my middle name is definitely not "Lucky"

I just found this thread today and I was glued to it throughout the day!
Was eagerly reading each week to see if OP won!

We have about €300.00 worth over almost 10 years for the kids birthdays etc. They are in my name, some my husband's and others in kids names.
We won €75.00 twice which is quite poor I suppose.

Anyway, I decided to buy either €50.00 or €100.00 every month this year and see what happens. Will hopefully build it up over the years and if we've no luck we'll cash them in for their college fees etc (Eldest is 9).

    Great thread!

150 back off 300 over 10 years wouldnt be a poor return on prize bonds. For that amount of prize bonds you could have easily won nothing.

Good girl - busy or not! It would be great to get a really lucky break...you never know...welcome to the hopefuls!:)

Following a long drought - November 2012 since my last win, I'd come to anticipate a week almost every week with 6000 units. I had 3 (€75) in August 2012 & 1 in September & 2 in November 2012. Last week, March 1st draw I won 2 x €50; so hopefully my numbers have found their way back into the bin :D.

I'll give them another couple of months and then decide whether to invest elsewhere.

Anyone else get a letter asking for certified proof of address, PPS and photo ID? I've to get a guard to stamp the documents to say it is me. I did send them whatever they originally asked for in 2008.

It's not like they've been sending me any money of late........
