    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

It's rarer than most old Merc's on the roads these days.

    Here's a few I saw today.
The first Merc may be abandoned. It's parked up beside where the Irish Ferries Car Ferry berths - a 1987 SEC420 Auto according to Cartell - and never seems to go anywhere. The second was spotted in Richmond Road this afternoon.

And then just when I thought I'd not see another interesting car today,
this turns up - a Rover SD1! Sorry about the crap pictures - I was rushing.

Hey Junky, whats the craic with the Hot Rod, is it a famous one, or is it as it looks, i.e possibly the only original one left ??

..........sorry yes it is of course a model, I took a quick look only. Obviously with Junkie's addiction to models it was appealing. I have seen this look before and the SoCal Speed Shop and Hildebrandt names are synonymous with Hot Rods.

Saw this in Douglas, Cork today. I'm not sure what it is. Sorry for the picture. I was on the bus and just before I took the pic that Renault pulled out in front of it.
