Seen today that Pope Francis held a mass in Manila that was attended by 6 million people :eek:

Nearly 2 million people visited John Paul when he came in 1979. Given that there is a bigger population in Ireland now but different views on religion, would there be a similar turnout?

Whatever people's thoughts are, he is still a very powerful and influential figure in the world. I'm always interested on what he has to say. I'm also interested in what other world figures have to say too mind.

Although Papa Francesco loses some points with me for refusing to meet the Dalai Lama on his recent trip to Rome.

There was 1 which a mod dealt with. As I said, more complaints about it than actually happen. I recommend reading some of the threads about Islam or the atheism thread to see how wrong you are.
