Mod Post: A reminder to folks that trying to bait supporters by posting alternate names for a football club may lead to a yellow card. Folk are welcome to post in any superthread they wish to, but nobody is free to use superthreads or this forum in general as somewhere to try and bait/flame/troll other posters.

The QC guy is presumably making it all up to annoy Rangers fans as well. To claim its all nonsense because there are no criminal convictions is laughable. He played a podcast of Rangers fans organising a campaign against the publisher. Even Charles Green - the owner said he had death threats from Rangers fans. Was he lying? The scottish media don't believe it. For a crowd that in the last 2 years has said "there is no tax case", "there is a tax case but Rangers will win it", " the liability rests with Murray", "Craig Whyte is a billionaire","Rangers will never go into administration", "Rangers will never go into liquidation". Everyone is entitled to believe what they want, but when there are 2 Rangers fans in jail for sending bombs to Neil Lennon, here must be some truth in these allegations. It's not heads in the sand, nor paranoia, its all a big conspiracy by Alex Thompson. Whatever you believe, from a distance its great car crash entertainment

It's amazing how Strathclyde police, the SFA, Rangers, BBC, STV etc refused to comment or take part in this, not to mention the hoards of journalists from talksport, the Scottish media etc have been lambasting him on twitter for such a ridiculous piece. He's proven already to be unconvincing, Strathclyde police took no action on his 'threat' claims, waterstones head office had no record of any intimidation from Rangers fans to take a book off the shelves. As soon as Alex Thomson aligned himself with Phil then all sense if impartiality was gone.

Cheers for the other reply Jelle, the thing with not naming backers would be a cause for concern if there's nothing to hide. I suppose you have to have someone with something to believe in, but after seeing the way the club has went in the last year then I'd be skeptical and questioning every move from someone who has just stepped in, took over the reins and is starting a share issue.

What has he done to ensure that the outcome from him will be different to the way the support came and then went for Craig Whyte and Duff and Phelps?? Jelle, you said those questions are being asked, just not in here. Am curious as to what your answers would be as you seem to be asking the questions already. Don't you think that with a share issue in full swing that he's going to do and say whatever gets people on side to ensure the shares are bought up? Do you believe his plans for the money that comes in (what are his plans by the way?) Are you buying any??? I know BBE might get one and EB won't, mainly due to cost which is wholly understandable.
He was told to go back to his house and secure the smallest room in the downstairs area with the smallest windows. He was told that he – and he alone – must pick up all mail and move it to this room. He – and he alone – must open it. He was told to be wary of any jiffy bags. But even normal envelopes should not be opened in the usual casual fashion because of the danger of razor blades being taped inside to cut him – and razor blades contaminated with anything from faeces through to HIV to ricin.
lubo_moravcik wrote: » I don't care a jot about your finances ffs, all am asking is would you feel confident in giving your hard earned money over to Charles Green? What is he saying he's going to do with the money he gets in and do you believe him??
Eli Manning wrote: » Did anybody see the piece on C4 about the Rangers fans being the most intimidating in the UK? It was a news piece called 'The Ugly Game'
