Whilst that’s pretty much a ridiculous idea (no offence) that will ultimately fail, not least because Trump won’t give a sh1t and it won’t impact him one iota, we’ve seen how a cohesive European response to his threatened takeover bid has prevented any aggressive action in Greenland.

So no, a “lawsuit” isn’t going to work per se- but collective pressure - Saudi, UAE, Europe, China, Canada, Australia, Japan etc all need to be firmly against the current actions and present a united front from a diplomatic and economic perspective - I’m particularly looking at Saudi UAE etc to take the lead on this and start being more vocal.

Whatever about ships the Irish government need to get real about taxation of fuel. They should decide how much they need to get, in income from fuel and set a surcharge per litre, not a 23% tax. The government should not be taking in more revenue when oil prices are rising. They're screwing us and taxing at 23% inflates the inflation further.

Set a surcharge, 25c or 30c per litre or whatever that number is and it remains the same regardless of what happens oil price.
