I've said it before: if Trump had even a smidgen of strategic, political common sense, he'd realise that he could earn genuine (albeit grudging) respect from many millions of people by siding completely with Zelenskyy and coming down hard, really hard, on Putin, Xi and Modi. He has it within his power to have a ceasefire in place for Christmas and a tolerable, lasting truce in operation on January 1st.
But he's so consumed by his (unrequited) love for the Big Man in Moscow, and so greedy for Russia's imaginary riches, he can't see the golden opportunity that slips through his fingers every single day.
What about them Belgians, not handing over the Russian loot, 3rd division?
You’re assuming he’s motivated by statesmanship or legacy. He isn’t. His only consistent priorities are self-enrichment and the approval of a narrow slice of the American public that flatters his ego. Broader respect, historical judgment, or geopolitical stability simply don’t factor in. And even that public approval matters less than it once did. Once this term is over, he can’t be reelected, so there’s no real electoral cost to indulging his instincts. From his perspective, there’s no incentive to confront Putin, no upside in moral clarity, and no reason to seize a “golden opportunity” when personal loyalty, grievance, and transactional fantasy are what actually drive his decisions.
Obviously the US can't be trusted going forward.
Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) blocks Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC)'s bill designating Russia a state sponsor of terrorism.
Rand Paul often pulls this stunt of putting a "hold" on a bill to prevent a vote. A hold can be overturned by 60 votes.
Can anyone pin point when the Republicans in America were properly infiltrated by the Kremlin?
This administration will be a case study for many years to come.
Probably just copied the Israeli method.
I think it has a few elements:
Did Russia never have an opportunity to use its Shkval torpedoes in this war? Some years ago there was great interest in them. I’m pleased they haven’t been useful.
For years, high-end builders in the likes of London, New York and Miami have depended on mysterious characters wandering in from dodgy places and buying prestige properties. In essence, the West has participated in the looting of poorer parts of the world. There was always going to be a price to be paid for it.
Going off topic here, but with rampant consumerism at a time of apparent cost of living crisis, we’re all partly complicit by our addiction to the likes of Amazon and Temu etc. Can only imagine the human cost of such mass production at such low cost on the other side of the world. Propping up China, who props up Russia and has sought to destabilise the West for a couple of decades now.
In the 1990s there was a theory that democracy and capitalism went together. We now know this is not necessarily the case. The idea that they went together was strengthened by the Communism being both authoritarian and not capitalist. However China's economic reforms under Deng Xiaoping blurred the lines. Perestroika in the Gorbachev era was too cautious, not allowing foreign ownership of corporations until 1990, and continuing to fix prices and require state orders (especially for the military) to be met first. In China, the reforms started in 1979. State orders had to be met at fixed prices, but they didn't necessarily have to be met first, and surpluses could be sold privately at market prices.
New law allows Kremlin installed administrations in occupied Ukrainian regions to seize apartments, houses and even individual rooms if they are labelled “ownerless”.
“Ownerless” conveniently means the owner escaped shelling, filtration camps, torture basements, or deportation......The law also allows these confiscated homes to be rented out or allocated under so called “social tenancy” schemes until at least 2030, suggesting the marauders have no plans to leave. The insult does not end there. If a homeowner later reappears, compensation may be offered but only if they are Russian citizens.

And presumably, if JD Vance has any input, if they say please and thank you numerous times.
Scumbags tend to stick together, it's no wonder TACO, Vance and Hegseth are comfortable doing Putin's bidding without a hint of embarrassment.
Trump was recruited in the 80's as Krasnov. It's likely he isn't the only Republican in receipt of Orc money to finance their lifestyles, political campaigns and to bail them out of bankruptcies. Americans worship money, it's their religion, any thoughts of national interest or patriotism come well behind for many. Almost every member of Congress or the Senate is a millionaire. They like their money.
Think about the term 'business interests' and what it likely really means. It's a catchall for turning bribes and 30 pieces of silver into clean money. It's likely a lot of Republican politicians do 'consultancy' work for Orcs.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Republican politicians have been given access to ready stuffed bank accounts in places like Switzerland and that not all their funds are declared on their tax returns either. Putrid just has to reveal all the details to Inland Revenue and even politicians might end up doing time, just like Wesley Snipes.
Putrid has lots of them them by the gonads, I suspect. There's probably a few Dems he's bought and owns, as well.

25+ years in power, there is no doubt that Putin has ownership on both sides…
I have been giving the issue more thought, and I suspect one of the keys is likely bankruptcies as an easy identifier of targets to recruit. Can anyone think of any Irish politicians who went bankrupt and now bat for Putrid?
Financially bankrupt or morally bankrupt?
orcs again claiming to be in control of Kupiansk despite the fact Zelensky was photographed inside it just days ago 😂
This is the depth of the corruption and lies that you're dealing with when it comes to the ruzzians.
Pink Shirt himself…
Though in fairness, wash any white/light shirt with some blood and they'll all end up pink!
though as someone posted an AI answer a while back, he's more like a useful idiot to them…

Why are they even asking him.
Just take the money - give it to Ukraine now.
Anyone know where this is? They used to do this in Bakhmut.
Here's another building occupied by Russians, partially demolished.
About 20km west of Pokrovsk according to Reddit.
Likely they had it rigged, waiting for Russians to enter and then big kaboom.
I don’t know what they are singing in that music, but it goes so well with that footage…
Once again the Ukrainian musical director playing an absolute blinder…
Darth on point as always
Orcs were showing off photos of their Kilo sub that they claimed was undamaged, very carefully picking their angles for the photos so they didn't show the side that was hit.
Oh dear, the truth will out.
I watched it on mute so I don't know!
Won't compromise on their 5 regions. I don't believe the rest of Kherson for example has been discussed too widely. Just shows that even if getting the rest of Donbas, they ain't stopping. Trump will tie himself up in knots to blame Zelensky for the next peace talks collapse.
Just when it looks like Russia is about to get rewarded… they go for the jugular and demand even more than what's essentially been discussed for the last few weeks/months…..
