Yeah it's been reported in many places and by others here, UAF do appearing to be quite successful in their flanking and counter attack
putin's terrorist state control over Kupiansk seems to have been somewhat overstated:
Screenshot from video just released by Zelenskyy taken in Kupiansk.
The claim from yesterday I think that Ukraine took out an AN-26 in Crimea is gaining traction, the rumour is now that not only did they hit the plane and take it out but it had helicopter pilots on board who were being transferred to other bases and it did not end well for them. The videos you can find on reddit etc. show that it was ready for takeoff with both engines running, so probably full of fuel and the drone seemed to be aiming for one of the engines.
But, but, but, we were told Russia was in control here by concerned posters
Presumably, Putin will retaliate with a selfie of himself standing in the middle of Povrovsk which he captured 3 weeks ago.
Looking forward to seeing Putin's triple try the same.
Don't mind the posters they were just parroting what Putin's own yes men were telling their dictator.
And we still have posters quoting the Russian MoD as if it's some sort of reliable source. They were never in full control with the grey zone being claimed as Russian controlled.
It just went from this to this on DeepState
It's like an elastic band snapped or something and now that the fog has lifted there could be an encirclement underway. Concerning.
Lol, Zelenskyy just few hundred metres from the grey zone while Putrid Putin is safe in his mansion somewhere hundreds of km away
I hope they won't get stuck in a… cauldron.
Saw that. Perfect response to Putin's Propoganda machine. Not only has Zelenskyy got balls, he knows a good media opportunity when he sees one!
With the bubble Putin lives in do you think he'll even be aware of that footage? At least Trump will be aware and his 28-point capitulation plan just took a little dent.
yes , winning the proverbial metre a day at the front lines BUT what about elsewhere. Are Russia winning there also?
What you are describing would require NATO and likely the EU to be dissolved. It would require the election pro-Russian governments (actually openly pro-Russian) to be elected in the majority of NATO countries, it would require several thousand NATO troops from across the whole alliance to withdraw from the Baltics, it would require the Russians to suddenly become an effective fighting force, it would require Russia to fully occupy Ukraine, etc.
This isn't an even remotely likely scenario.
Putin's invasion of Ukraine was by far the biggest mistake of his regime. Instead of installing a puppet regime within a few weeks as he originally intended, he's still bogged down 4 years later, occupying only 20% of the country in bitter fighting that's left its mark on Russia. The idea that he can or is even able to launch another massive invasion is not plausible.
Ukraine have already won the war, it's just a question of when Russia accepts it.
Russia had planned to take Kiev in 3 days, once that didn't happen, they lost. The element of surprise was their chance.
Ukraine have had almost 4 years now to build up their military and defences.
Ukraine will hold on another couple of years, then Russia will pull out. Russia's economy will be destroyed by then and they'll have suffered 2 million casualties.
Russia will keep their current occupied lands in Ukraine and a DMZ will be by the front line.
Then some years in the future, maybe when Putin retires, Ukraine reunification will happen.
There's rumours Orban might try change the role/powers of the powers of the Presidency as a way to keep control in the event of losing the government elections. Could be a very messy 2026 in Budapest.
Hungary passes bill reinforcing president's post – DW – 12/10/2025
I'm praying Orban is voted out. He's like a stone in the shoe of the EU.
Hoping also there's independent observers making sure the votes are properly counted.
Russia hits Turkish cargo ship
You'd wanna be very careful not to piss off the Turks.
The assault on Kupiansk always looked like a really risky manoeuvre. You can see from the topography of the area trying to maintain a river crossing while attempting a very narrow encirclement was always going to be heavily exposed to a counter attack.
It's a big setback for them in the sector though, positions that they've held for 6 months now gone.
Putin’s response to Zelenskyy’s video today….
Lmao. Ukraine's president goes close to the front lines.
Russia sends their chief propagandist without any proof he's actually there.
It looks remarkably intact for a war zone..
Russia should just quit. This war's unwinnable.
We'll still be talking about Pokrovsk next year, debating if Russia or Ukraine control it.
Also concerns at Trumps policy in the Balkans. He lifted sanctions on secessionist Milorad , Dodik in return for him stepping down as leader of Republika Srpska, the Serbian half of Bosnia. Trump was lobbied by Rod Blagojevich, General Michael Flynn, and Laura Loomer. Flynn argued Dodik was an anti globalist leader like Trump. Dodik is also pro Russian.
Love the tweet below on this
Look like Russians surrounded in Kupiansk.
where is the people who locate a spot on earth to within a few meters from just a picture.
I agree with Zaluzny 100%
Zaluzhny is correct. It was a mistake to fire him as commander in chief. He correctly said years ago that 500,000 more conscripts were going to be needed, and was not listened to.
Separately the EU is sanctioning Russian shadow fleet enablers and a propagandist who is an ex Florida sheriff, also sanctioned is an ex French intelligence officer and an ex Swiss colonel.
Does this thread exist in a parallel universe where the US is still an ally to Europe? Those days are over. NATO is over. This has been obvious for the last 18 months but it still hasn't reached the lala land that exists in this thread.
I am just putting forward a very realistic political scenario - the UK and France electing the 2 parties that are currently topping the polls in both countries, where the Baltics countries would have very few allies if Russia launched a very limited invasion in a few years time.
There is a reason why Poland is arming itself to the teeth and it's because it knows it cannot trust it's 'allies'.
Europe is fractured. It cannot agree on anything. It's there for the taking.
Poland is arming itself to the teeth because it knows what happens when the Russians come for a visit nothing to do with not being able to trust it's allies.
Europe can't agree on anything yet it agrees on things all the time
There for the taking 🙄 not by Russia anyway.
