I don't think truth ever really existed in that country

I've had the child on ignore for a very long time but l still can't avoid its posts😡. I can't be the only person this applies to. It's very difficult to understand how this kid's obvious and blatant trolling is allowed. It's destroying the thread.

Destroying the thread in what regard ?

In fairness there is a case for firing the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, she revised Bidens job numbers down by 900k last year, she doesnt seem to be very good at her sums.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 18,972 ✭✭✭✭Ha Long Bay

Do you agree with "Trump fires labor statistics chief hours after data showed jobs growth slowed"

You seem to do nothing but concern troll here and have no opinion of actions from idiot you are trying to defent.

Do they deserve to be fired for posting facts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,759 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

Says the Trump supporter who isn't a Trump supporter but really is.

When is Trump invading Canada or Greenland or Panama like you were predicting a while back ?🤣

I never predicted anything, Trump was saying that, so again you are making things up, but we are all used to that now.

    He’s such a thin-skinned little bitch.

Also, can we stop giving the obvious troll/WUM the attention he so clearly craves in here?

Just wondering what the other people who hate trump think about him standing up to medvedev by talking about repositioning nuclear (powered or capable?) submarines, to the appropriate areas.
Ignore the fact he could be doing this to cover up the Epstein shite, just look at the submarine move for what it is- putin probably needs someone to actually stick it to him for a bit.
However I hate trump the …….. has to be said.

That's from March, I imagine the next jobs report will announce a trillion new jobs!

I presume that the few jobs that were created are back fills for deported staff?

Given the range on those subs missiles, all he has to do is move the subs into the Northern hemisphere 🤣

Do read into the background on the statistics before applying maga logic or conspiracies against trump, wouldn't want to condescend:

"While the downward revision is not unusual, this year’s adjustment is larger than most. It takes a bit of the shine off job growth during President Biden's time in office — although even with the lower figure, the 14 million jobs added during his first three years in office would outpace that of the three previous presidents. Former President Donald Trump oversaw a net loss of jobs, due to widespread layoffs during the pandemic.

The revision is part of a routine, annual exercise in which the government checks its monthly jobs numbers — which come from a sampling of employers — against much more complete data from state tax records. Wednesday's figures are preliminary. A final tally will be released early next year."

That made my head hurt trying to figure that out!

The alarming thing about the July figures is manufacturing lost 11k jobs (I thought tariffs were bringing jobs back?) and healthcare added 70k+ (thankfully the big beautiful bill didn't cut medicare or medicaid right?)

I think it's been posted before on here that all Trump's policies/actions, taken individually weren't too bad. But it was the census it was a death by a thousand cuts …. we may have seen it all come to ahead in these latest figures.

Guess the media ain't taking about the Epstein files at least! Trump will see that as a win.

Funny when a poster announces their departure, like anyone cares, and then reappears 5 minutes later. Attention seeking nonsense, as usual.

The subs are supposed to be undetectable and secret so no way of telling if any actually move.

There's supposed to be subs on station all the time for deterrence. So if they need to be moved then Trump has failed to protect the American public.

    image.png

Population density map of Russia. St Petersburg and Moscow are 650Km apart which is a little more than the 500Km separation advertised for the multiple warheads on a single missile.

"The Trident II D5 is a three-stage, solid-fuel missile, allowing for a rapid and efficient launch from submerged submarines. It achieves a maximum range of 12,000 kilometers (7,456 miles) with a light payload and about 7,800 kilometers (4,847 miles) when fully loaded."

Each US sub can have 24 missiles with 8 warheads and each one that gets through is 30 times Hiroshima. It's ridiculous levels of overkill.

I have absolutely no love for Trump, but I don't see how he has failed to protect the American public with this move. For all we know Biden moved said subs away from Russia and Trump is moving them back in place. I really wouldn't read into it much. Trump standing up to Russia (on a very rare occurrence) has to be welcomed, even if it's just words.

Their B2 Bombers are also undetectable, but sometimes you need to announce they are being stationed at a certain location for a deterrent or up the stakes etc… An unknown or secret weapon cannot be a deterrent if the enemy isn't aware of it's existence or threat.

The US only have to announce an aircraft carrier is moving to a certain location to make a statement.

Meh. I think the sub move related to the recent tsunami

I want the Epstein files or ill health to end Trump.

Boycotting US products and services is not going to end Trump and it's going to hurt and maybe break a lot of good, innocent people.

Anybody whose a proponent of it might as well join maga is my opinion. It's just like a Trump idea fed to the idiots that follow him.

I've mentioned this before because I detest this evil idea. It's agenda driven nonsense probably the idea of the wealthy non-Americahs who'll profit from it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,710 ✭✭✭yagan

So was it the Cuban missile crisis the last time there was a direct nuclear threat?

And all because Trump wants a distraction from Epstein.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,552 ✭✭✭✭everlast75

Trump on Karoline Leavitt: "She's become a star. It's that face, it's that brain, it's those lips, the way they move."

Totally normal thing to say. Nothing deviant at all.

    Ffs!

We have gone from "I'll end the war in day one. Putin respects me. I'm the best negotiator ever" to "I'll give it a shot?!"

I pointed out in Russia thread that it’s suspiciously a day or so after most of Russian pacific nuclear submarine fleet gets wiped out by that massive earthquake/tsunami few kilometres from their sub pens/ base

Also if US doesn’t have submarines close to Russia as is then these failed at their only purpose in life lol

I wonder what the financial and business community will say about the Bureau of Labor Statistics firing. How can they (or any of us) trust economic data coming from US Government sources? What numbers will they try to fiddle next? Inflation? GDP?, Unemployment?, Trade?

I can see some private sector statistical estimates having more credibility than Government ones.

    Trump destroys everyting he touches.

Just how bad is 'this week in TACO tariffs?' Bad. Summary:

"And pretty much any other country besides the U.S. looks like a good trading partner right about now."

A nice summary and some reasons behind this weeks tariff chaos, plus economic impacts on the US, by Nitish Pahwa at Slate (also on bsky)

I also hear that thanks to Leader Trump that Choco-rations will be up to 5 grams. That’s Double-Plus-Good.

(Wonder if anyone will get that reference)
