Russia are building up troops getting ready for an massive assault and with recent attacks on arms depots a 3 day ceasefire could insure the safe movement of supply's to the front line.
Russia never abides by these "ceasefires" anyway.
Yeah Ukraine should never agree to a ceasefire to allow Russia to celebrate "victory day". I hope they save the biggest drone strike yet for then.
Although I agree, I think the issue is a US component that gives them a veto on it. The SPD also appear to be sceptical - though Boris Pistorius says there are arguments on both sides of whether to send it or not.

The only reason putin wants this 3 day ceasefire is their afraid of Ukraine landing a missile or drone in the middle of their 80th anniversary of ww2 in red square, Ukraine should refuse and fire away .
It's not looking good for Trump's quick fix. He can't even get agreement with the Ukrainians, EU, and UK never mind with the Russians. The question now is to what extent Ukraine can depend on continuing American support going forward. Settle now, or gamble on something unforeseen turning the tide in the future?
