Oh yes, and russia IS winning…
"we're not laying you off… we're just re-assigning you to a new department… (somewhere near Kursk)… nothing to see here…"
Europe cannot replace the US materiel aid immediately if Trump cuts it off in January, so Ukraine will be left short. That is a problem, and it will get more Ukrainians killed. It has been clear for at least 2 years now Trump could easily be reelected.
There's also some (non materiel) support the US can give for Ukraine that might be effectively irreplacable. I don't know enough to know if it was possible to prep. better for this contingency (loss of US support), my feeling is political decisions were made it was all too hard, too expensive (would anger electorates, seeing funds diverted for it), and an outside risk.
Also, on this country, you may not want to hear it but ringfencing our contributions to the EU so that Ukraine cannot use it on weapons is not to our credit, even if we are minor in the scheme of things.
We also do (or did) have some small amount of weapons to give (basically some anti tank missiles and small arms) that would be better than 0.
Every little bit helps and all that. If every EU member state took this I won't sully my hands with things that kill people attitude, well…it would be a bit of a problem as regards helping Ukraine.
it’s not the conscript thousands of miles away we need to worry about but the knuckle heads around us who want to de-stabilize and cause chaos here at home and there are plenty. Remember France fell in 1940 with an army of 5 million men and the best of equipment and the most fortified border posts ever built in the maginot line. It fell in no small way because it was a chaotic divided society changing governments every other year and with sections of their society glad to see the Germans arrive. That’s the blueprint for defeating western democracies.
As always the solution is more ammo for Ukraine. The Russians are losing 10,000 per week. In 30 weeks that is 300,000. Maybe 50% of the troops they have in Ukraine.
and dont forget france in 1940!!
That’s just stupid .
With the fact that Russia have now drafted in the special forces from Temu (North Korea), is it not safe to assume that the west can now also send actual special forces to assist Ukraine?
Some good news at least.
Russians got a bit of a kicking. They deserve it.
Soviet Union 1989 vibes.
What's to say that they're not already present, be it as rebadged units on career breaks.
Seriously impressive stuff here from this tank crew.
Balls of steel.
Another day another war crime.
I'm sure the "Friends of russia" are proud.
Time to pack the suitcases ASAP before it is too late.
Sums it up quite nicely I think!
Is that a piss stream or a hypnotic beam from the laptop?
More of this please. Less for the Russians to kill with
Russians are resorting to nostalgia weaponry from the 1980s
Kursk too (notice how not a peep from the Russian representatives today)
“
Day 995
On 14 November, the biggest news came from the Kursk direction.
Here, Ukrainians perfectly executed a complex tactical maneuver to eliminate the Russian spearhead while maintaining their combat potential, leading to the complete encirclement of the Russian assault group.”
”Ukrainians withdrew from the settlements to the high ground, letting the Russian convoy pass through and allowing it to be destroyed by previously placed mines and FPV drones.”
Oh it gets better, “official” potatoe inflation at over 70% this year alone
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-11-14/russian-food-prices-skyrocket-in-growing-concern-for-kremlin?
And pay for soldiers, disabled veterans slashed
”Russian president restricts medical payouts of 3 million rubles ($30,000) to those who suffer severe injuries in combat.
Previously the sum was available to anyone wounded. Now those with less severe injuries will only get between one million rubles ($10,000) and 100,000 rubles ($1,000).
Under the Kremlin's new guidelines, soldiers will only receive full compensation if they suffer "Section I" injuries that endanger their life or health or cause significant damage to their organs, such as severe spinal injuries, brain damage, rib fractures and broken limbs.”
Russian critic of the invasion found dead.
I'm sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation!🙄
We should but we aren't strong enough to do it.
If Russia can draft NK troops then the gloves are off. Tale the restrictions off Ukraine using long range weapons and allow PMC in to the country to assist them. If Russia want to load the gloves then it's fair game and past time for the rest of world to smack the **** out of them.
yet not a single party has approached the defence budget question for the upcoming elections…

Mad, it’s 2024 we have;
Most* European countries and especially this one
“This is fine” .Meme
Oh i agree and hope it happens but it won't.
Yes that’s right …… T-55s
I wonder if Darth Putin will ask his buddy Trump if he could get Hollywood to lend him the Death Star.
Topping up the funds before they could possibly dry up
Most of which will never be sent.
Most announcements take months if not years to be delivered. Once Trump takes the reins he will torpedo any agreed packages that haven't been delivered.
Ukraine claims this attack has been repulsed with the armoured elements eliminated and putin's terrorists who tried to disguise themselves as members of the armed forces of Ukraine also defeated.

It is almost like everything you post is trying to glorify putin's terrorists.
