It seems like a Jewish right wing are determined to start a Middle East war and WWIII . Israel is the equivalent of a Fascist state and it’s time to call them out as such .
Most ethical army in the world blows up orphanages

I wouldn't discount the possibility : it's not entirely clear if Israel will even still exist in the form we know it in a few decades' time. It seems utterly incapable of living in peace and harmony with its near neighbours (a totally different situation to the dismantling of the apartheid South African state in the 1990s).
Really don't know how some people can back that or turn a blind eye to it. Israel has absolutely lost the little bit of moral high ground it had at the start of this when Hamas attacked them. They have out-murdered Hamas by many times.
If it ever transpires that the secularists are close to achieving Palestinian statehood, we know what happens next- Israel will start funding Islamists again to undermine them. I wonder do the likes of Likud really want the Ayatollah in Iran gone at all, because what bogeyman can they point to then to justify their own intransigence on a two state solution. The Islamists are in effect the perfect foil for them.

It would be great to say how that will happen.. Or how you came to conclusion that hamas will be small fringe group.
appears like the gloves will be off in the middle east if Iran (and proxies) attack again
U.S. warns Iran: We won't be able to restrain Israel if you attack

But they are a relatively small grouping, in the main largely confined to the Gaza strip.
Even prior to this current period of extraordinary aggression, it had shown itself to be completely untrustworthy, the Israeli population have been electing extremist governments for two decades now
It's kinda irrelevant, Palestinian domestic matters are their own business, we in the West shouldn't expect middle East countries to conform to a respectable western liberal model, nor should we in Ireland feel obligated to receive people with a different culture, both can work for different people in different places
Even Palestine decided to ape Afghanistan following an Israeli exodus, I'd still support a one state Palestine
I think they mean they won't be able to restrain the US military if Iran hits the US THAAD missile defense system.
Yes I do.
I would not call Iran launching 200 ballistic missiles at Israel "nothing much happened".
Equally I would not say Israel destroying what's left of Iran's antiquated AA defense "nothing much happened".
The idea that "nothing much happened" is ridiculous on either end.
You can believe that the US intelligence is making up whatever, but a) we already knew Iran had low level, low-tech AA defense in limited numbers versus Israel's cutting edge air force supplied by the US.
And b) there are literally satellite photos showing strikes on Iran, so unless you believe there's some vast global conspiracy, Israel did hit Iran as planned.
So far, one person who's made outrageous claims about Iran "defeating" Israel's attack, hyping up their abilities, and everything else….their source? Iran State TV.
People can take whatever side they want, but they have to live in the real world where logic applies.
Firstly, neither you, or me have any clue about Irans air defences or what they have, the West will no doubt portray Iran as some backwards low tech vulnerable state, however Israel didn't do much against Iran, and satellite pictures of what, a few unverified pictures of what damage?. Facr is, if Israel had done damage to Israel they'd have shown it, after all, they happily display their efforts against women and children.
I've responded to your " would be" post.
Probably yes, they are, and yet they've managed to somehow bring this kind of situation on whole nation.
Not excusing all what Israel does, but those clowns just made it easier.
The US won’t be able to restrain Israel. When have the US ever restrained Israel since the first Gulf War?
But we do "have a clue".
The entire world including Iran itself knows it has an ancient and out of date limited air force and air defense network.
This is public information. It's not a secret.
I have no idea why you're pushing this aura of mystery that Iran might have this super secret world class inventory. It doesn't. Not even Iran pretends it does.
It's literally why they invested heavily in missile forces as a deterrent, because they themselves know, literally know, they cannot remotely compete with Israel conventionally.
Exactly what North Korea has done, because it hasn't a hope of competing with the South on conventional forces.
Iran v Israel is a no contest . Needless to say who wins. The regime with western hardware
incorrect i'm afraid, israel being militarily neutralised is the only path to a 2 state solution.
hamas cant surrender anyway as it's not a legitimate army and this isn't a war but a genocide and land theft.
You'd need to define what you mean by "win".
"Kill more of the other people in the short term", then yes
hamas must be terrorists so- they could release the kidnapped hostages to generate some good will and stop firing missiles at israel to commence the peace process
North Korea has nuclear weapons. Iran took limited damage from Israel's "attack". They've enough of whatever they have to have stopped serious damage.
israel being militarily neutralised
That will never happen, it would be a death sentence in that region.
Hamás could have done plenty to avoid so high civilian casualties, instead they keep going their own brainwashed religious way, making sure the numbers will keep growing. So are the other groups, endlessly giving excuses for Israel to hammer them down. One would say they should know better by now..
As you said yourself, you haven't got a clue..
Of course there would be a very different response if any other country kept killing American civilians without anyone ever being held to account.

You obviously either don't bother researching or choose to ignore any of the history of the peace negotiations over the last 80 years.
ALL have been rejected by the Palestinians!
Clinton put it in perspective a couple of days ago:
https://youtu.be/mKmSHZ5bLH8
But of course you do,.
Bill is right when he says you can't kill your way out of this. Also his comment about the mentality of Likud is interesting. It's just further proof there can be no peace process so long as they are in power. The same applies to Hamas .
the hostages are likely dead unfortunately. if israel stopped engaging in land theft, colonisation and apartheid, stopped engaging in genocide and funding islamic proxis to wage terror then hamas wouldn't exist to be able to fire rockets.
it would not be a death sentence in that region at all, it would actually be better for everyone. actually israel being militarily neutralised could very well happen in the future, as younger americans are getting board of funding and supporting israel. the high civilian casualties are down to israel slaughtering anything and everything for the sake of it because they want to commit genocide to resettle and settle as much land as they can. they would be doing it whether their proxies hamas exist or not, or the other groups they created directly or indirectly.
Most people here just don't seem to get it.
There's no longer a scenario that exists where Hamas and Israel go back to peaceful co-existence.
Any peace deal or ceasefire that involves Hamas remaining in control of Gaza would be a disaster for Israel. It hands victory to Hamas and will allow them to buy time to re-arm and come at Israel again at some point in the future.
Netanyahu was very clear on this from day one of the war. His goal was to return the hostages and eradicate Hamas. He won't be stopped on this.
Of course, that has been easier said than done. It's been 13 months since the war started. The hostages still haven't been released and Hamas are still fighting. So what next?
Controlling all of Gaza is probably too big a nut to crack, but occupying 40% of the north is more manageable. This is where we are now. Gaza is cut in two and Israel are concentrating on removing the Hamas presence from this smaller part.
If Hamas are going to use innocent civilians as hostages, then Israel are totally justified in taking 40% of Gaza as security. They will 100% achieve this goal and the people of Gaza only have Hamas to thank for this.
Western hardware that could only replace the Taliban with the Taliban in 20 years.
