This made me LOL!😂
Would Putin go nuclear if the Polish allowed a few brigades of AFU soldiers to mass at the gates of Kaliningrad?
"Page doesn't exist", what did I miss?
It's been a very strange few days. Western Allies haven't commented too much on this event and Russia's allies, Iran, NK and China haven't even condemned Ukraine. They probably can't condemn it because then Russia would have to admit what's happening. No Security council meeting being called etc…
I still cannot believe we're at this stage after Germany refusing to allow Leopards be donated, to they can be donated but can't be used to attack Russia, to ok you can now drive them freely into Russia! (not just Germany, just the reluctance and restrictions placed on Ukraine by western countries initially)
F16 boogeymen
Lol, Russians are spooked. Seeing UAF everywhere.
Gotta find out about this
Man I'd love to be a fly on the wall in Putlers office!
They're all good dogs, Bront.
It's improved a lot for the Russians as they use more advanced glide kits on the bombs now.
In other news reports this Canadian special forces guy from the international battalion raided the NPP last night.
Ukrainians taking more ground tonight. Another thought occurred. Russia when they took areas. Took everything in sight from the locals. Farms were looted and machinery everything taken. By doing this the russians set the precedent that now that ukraine has taken their territory that they are now entitled to strip everything and bring back to Ukraine.
Putin never thought it could occur to him but he authorised his military to do so in the first place to Ukraine.
This is another gift that Putin's military have given his own people by invading Ukraine in the first place. Pompous behaviour believing that you are above all law and people's rights has bitten Putin and the russian people following him in the ass big time. If the egos were never as big then they would never be in this mess.
Need to find more information on this
What's the typical release altitude for a glide bomb though?
One desirable outcome would be the below happening. If Russia sends their meat waves to Kursk they may well take it back but it won't be easy. They'll have very few plans drawn up to deal with the current scenario. Especially when Ukraine could go another 1000km West and repeat with another incursion.
I think the plan Will be to hold their positions until the Russians level the place and they'll eventually pull out. Be nice to see a few million Russian artillery shells used on Russia.
Wonder if Ukraine has to defend this territory what the cost would be ,I wouldn't want them to get too stretched with resources while Putin has plenty of cannon fodder to occupy them .Surely Ukraine can't advance too far into Russian territory.
Ah I missed the jet from Day 1. There seems to be a real lack of response from the Russian air force. There must be groups of Ukrainians with stingers or man pads a few km further in they'll hit Russian jets if they try dropping their glide bombs.
Right now it feels like Russia is a rabbit in headlights. They really don't want to pull proper unit's from Ukraine but if this keeps going they might have to give up the Kharkiv offensive at least.
Well, russians lost 1 su34 and 2 helis on the very first day of Kursk offensive. Fighterbomber posted that if Ukrainians reach the Kursk npp, it would be bad news cos its a no fly zone, or something...
Awww
So hard to know what's happening especially when it could be special forces sneaking ahead and ambushing. In this war of attrition 10km feels like impossible but then you realise a military jeap bombing down the road would do 10km in a few mins so who knows. Fingers crossed more gains .
Would be brilliant if they ended up capturing chunks of Belgorod, Kursk and Branysk oblasts. Could trade them for Kherson, Zaporozhye and Kharkiv 😂
Regardless it's fantastic. Let Russia ruin their own villages and farmland.
You are inferring that I've stated that Russia is the only side that can win, I haven't said that. I said that only one side can win a war of attrition and by win I mean keeping Ukrainian territory which unfortunately seems inevitable unless there is even more support, particularly from Germany who are historically soft on Russia post WWII. France has also delivered a powerless Macron who was a major supporter of Ukraine. Obviously the US softening towards Putin's fanciful red lines is helpful to Ukraine but overall I believe far more support is needed, perhaps even direct NATO involvement for Ukraine to win the war.
I do hope Ukraine wins but since the push of Russians beyond Kherson and Kharkiv, I am far less hopeful for Ukraine than I was, particularly with the replacements in the Ukrainian military reportedly having the same damaging issues to morale as before. This is common in Russia but they have the number advantage and treat their soldiers like cannon fodder.
I do hope I'm wrong but unfortunately Russian weapons and men seem to be easily replaceable even if they aren't half as good as every Ukrainian soldier and weapon. When you have the number advantage, it does tend to prove to be difference albeit with some major exceptions.
Good time to blow the bridge?
Another incursion?
The exchange fund is getting some boost this week!
I was curious as to what the "Business Times" was when it was at home. But to be fair their about us page openly admits they were founded in Beijing in 2009.
Theyve been using thermobaric bombs throughout the war. It isnt anything new.
They are useful to injure troops who are partially sheltered indoors in a way that high explosive bombs might not, but the big problem for Russia is accuracy. Using them on their own towns could cause lots of civilian casualties.
They have the potential to circumvent Russias defensive lines in the Donbas and attack from the North from Russian ground with no obstruction from mines etc. They'd need to go 25km deep or so to make it a viable safe corridor but if they could do it the Russians would be in serious bother. Once they start moving backwards they have shown themselves to have neither the tactical nous or the means to halt the rot.
Also russians reporting Ukrainian troops already in kauchuk so where exactly are they saying they have stopped the Ukrainians?
Would be stupid not to what???
Russia not to use a Nuke?
A typical brigade is two to four line battalions, with support assets. Normally 2-4000 people. A line battalion is generally 300-500 infantry, the rest being the supporting cast. I can't speak to Ukraine specifically, but generally speaking, a bde is a bde.
Would be stupid not to , ultimately Ukraine are going to head south , I dont think they have the desire or the troops to do a Napoleon and head for Moscow
Also the russian would be behind them in Ukraine ..
Fair play to Ukraine they seem to have pulled a fast one on Putin and Russia.
