Well, looks like the permission is given, let the games begin
The Biden administration has quietly given Ukraine permission to strike inside Russia — solely near the area of Kharkiv — using U.S.-provided weapons, two U.S. officials and two other people familiar with the move said Thursday, a major reversal that will help Ukraine to better defend its second-largest city.

I did suggest this was going to happen yesterday .. in the Russia Oblasts bordering Ukraine Northern border. Ill take that, a great start
Partial lifting, some restrictions remain
UAF about to have another go at Crimea
It's honestly even worse than that. I subscribe to the Timothy Snyder viewpoint on this. When people say Russia cannot take on NATO. I mean yes. Currently they're right. But imagine Russia beats Ukraine. Do we really think that we'll be facing off against half a Russian army?
No. We'll be fighting Russia once its regained strength still on a war economy and also a Russified Ukraine(and probably Belarus if it comes to it). With the added bonus of everything they've learned on the ground in the last 2 years of kicking the shite out of each other. That's the reality. If the orange idiot is in office when that happens then America even getting involved at all is dubious.
Can Europe take both Russia and Ukraine in it's current state? I f*cking doubt it. The best and only option here is to have Ukraine beat Russia for us. Soundly and completely. It really is the best investment we can make in our own future.
Only to defend the areas of Kharkiv. Weak from the Biden Whitehouse yet again. Just let them unleash hell for goodness sake.
Good good
Door has been opened. Over time open it more, until it's fully opened and no Russian military unit is safe.
Here's hoping the US emptied their current stocks for Ukraine as the new Precision Strike missiles are already been delivered to the US army.
Thousands of Ukrainians will die in the meantime but hey let's not worry about them what.
And tens of thousands of russkis will either die or be permanently put out of action. Tragic for any fallen Ukrainian though, I agree with you there pal.
Most Russians are not fighting for freedom, most are fighting for a paycheck or a sick point of view of enjoying the fighting in some way (take your pick)
Conscription and no choice in the matter unless there's money behind the individual to avoid conscription and pay off whoever they can to get the name off the list.
Daily visually confirmed lists getting ridiculous, poor guy can’t identify some of the tanks anymore and just puts them down as “tracked armoured sheds”
All the mocking by RT television has come back to haunt them.
Good enough for them. Nowhere near the karma that has been inflicted on Ukraine. No sympathy.
Air raid sirens sounding in Krasnodar.
The US were stockpiling them for 6 months while Ukraine got hardly any. Not really surprised. Same with shells. 6 months of production still took place.
It's kinda sad at this point Ukraine can't at least strike 100km into Russia from anywhere along it's 1991 borders. Russia will just move everything of importance a little further back.
Still a step in the right direction.
God knows how few of those tanks are still operable. They have been on the way out for some time. Plus I can’t see that a mechanically complex mountain tank almost never used outside of the Pacific Rim and with few spares available will be jumped upon by the Ukrainian military.
Firstly I can't see Russia ever getting passed the Donbass.
Secondly I can't see a theoretical Trump in charge ever again but even if he was there's no way America would be abandoning Europe to face some reincarnated USSR no matter how isolationist the MAGA crowd wanted to be.
But thirdly and most importantly no matter what Russia ever try with the west no matter how many men they could amass they simply cannot compete with western air capabilities. It would be a glorified turkey shoot. Ya can't fire shells 24/7 if all your artillery, supply lines and masses of men are getting shredded from miles above and miles back from your ground based frontline. It works against Ukraine to an extent because they don't have these air capabilities.
Russian state backed terrorism or infrastructural sabotage would be much more likely to cause problems in Europe.
they can't ever outman eu in any case. on top of the airpower thing. rus is about the same population as mexico.
eu has a 300 million population advantage.
I love the phrase "quietly given permission": as in, it's been reported as a top headline on every reputable news outlet over the last few days?
Definitely an overdue move, I can understand the arguments both for and against making it publicly known
Positive report from Kharkiv area where putin's terrorist attacks seem to have lost momentum:
https://euromaidanpress.com/2024/05/31/frontline-report-ukraine-launches-counteroffensive-in-vovchansk-against-russians/
Also more of putin's fuel for his terrorist activities on fire in the port of Kavkas:
lol is that list even real? The Russians lost 6 tracked garden sheds, an excavator and a jet ski!.
the Ukrainians lost among other things an Abrams, a Leopard2 and a tree!
More UAF attacks on the ferry crossing
If you bother to actually click on the reference links he posts in the column to the right would go straight to video evidence
Yes he’s been keeping track of both sides loses for a long time now, every day, with the Russian side being significantly more lopsided in their losses
Russian aligned posters repeatedly questioning the insane figures coming out of Ukraine even when video evidence is provided to back these up
https://www.irishtimes.com/world/us/2024/05/31/joe-biden-allows-ukraine-to-use-us-weapons-to-conduct-limited-strikes-inside-russia/
Why do you assume I am Russian aligned?
hehehe
Lets see
Big political momentum with Ukraine and on the ground the Russian momentum has stalled. Things look a bit better than they did this time last week. It looks like it is almost impossible for Russia to win as long as the West's resolve remains strong. Putin badly needs an off-ramp, but he obviously has a very strange way of thinking and may be happy to continue the attrition indefinitely. The most likely ending is that his regime collapses internally under the strain of a devastating war.
It is very important that Irish people vote cautiously in the European elections. It's important to check the candidate's stances on Russia and not to vote for anyone who is ambivalent. While people are frustrated by the Government's performance on immigration it's important not to let Russia exploit that. Have no doubt they have horses in our race.
So just Italy left alone
Anyways
This is a big one. Amazing news.
