Indeed it is just a friendly discussion , as i also said before if Kerry won fairly i'd commend them , but unfortunately this has not been the case ,and this is why i'd like them split to help Munster and the GAA.
No wrong again KERRY have been uniquely unfairly advantaged playing out of Munster for over a Century . If you don't know the details look it up .
Have to agree here, it seems that there is only one poster denying the fact that Kerry have had unfair advantages over all the Ulster and Leinster counties for over a century.
Well unfortunately we can't help out the rest of the Munster Counties in that shambles of a Munster competition with the 84 handy and uniquely advantaged titles , thankfully Dublin has been able to stop them winning handy and uniquely advantaged All Ireland titles and hopefully we can continue to do so going forward .😁
It does seem that Dublin are the only team capable of standing up to the unfair advantages granted to the Kerry Juggernaut for over a century in a sustained way.
As I said already, split Kerry for a decade, see how it goes, and then make a decision on further splits/amalgamations.
Agreed seems the only way alright , hopefully its not to late to rectify the damage that the unfair advantages Kerry have benefited from and when they are split a level playing field will be achieved over time ,
Clearly Monaghan have too many advantages
Clearly Derry have to many advantages
Split both?
Nah split Dublin in 4 and Kerry in 2 lol....
Again, the provincials to semi-final route has not existed for 24 years. And still wasn't a patch on Dublin's advantages in population, funding, playing at home etc.
You previously said we should consider splits of Dublin and Kerry along with others; you're presumably trying to be funny here but only one county is uniquely unfairly advantaged over all others, Dublin, therefore Dublin alone should be split.
Not at all, one loss doesn't matter too much. It's not about whether a team wins or not, more about whether that success comes from an unfairly advantaged platform, as Dublin's has. The inverse is also true- even if a team doesn't mean every year, e.g., Dublin before the overfunding started, it doesn't mean that that team is not unfairly advantaged (and that measures shouldn't be taken to get rid of those advantages and improve the prestige, integrity and fairness of the competition).
Ah welcome back ! let the merry go round continue 🙄Agreed one Kerry loss doesn't matter to much , more about whether that success comes from an unfairly advantaged platform as KERRY has, for over a century Kerry have been unfairly advantaged and measures should be taken to get rid of those advantages to improve the prestige , integrity and fairness of the competition .
But the damage has already been done , because of this Kerry must be split .
Again you're presumably trying to be funny here by ignoring KERRYS unfair advantage , sure its only a friendly conversation, its with a heavy heart i say this , but unfortunately Kerry would have to be split also .
There was a dublin lad on Twitter/X saying Dublin have a “terrible” record vs Monaghan. Some of them are a funny bunch.
They do have a terrible record in the league v Monaghan. Monaghan have won most of the league games (v Dublin) in the past 5 years. With a draw thrown in somewhere. That being said, Dublin put them away last year when it counted most in the Championship.
Ah sure no doubt every County has a few of the funny bunch type .
No, I think my idea to split Kerry for a decade and see how it goes before deciding on any more splits has got much more support on here than your mad ideas.
Its with a heavy heart i say this ,but unfortunately i have to agree with you ,split Kerry for a decade and lets see how it goes , it would help all Counties and it would also help Kerry , i have no problem with them winning fairly ,but unfortunately this is not the case .
Almost what the GAA would do! Split Kerry as a trial without bothering Dublin 😂
100% dublin has a higher population and more funding than the entirety of munster and get to play every game at home in a stadium built for them by the gaa...... but their just like every other team its all hard work you see
Nah that wouldn't happen 😂
Kerry has 84 Munster titles and 38 All Ireland titles ..... nothing to see here , but there just like every other team , it's all hard work so it is .
That's probably true but may just reflect Dublin's population advantage again in this discussion- neutrals like myself are outnumbered. But regardless you previously said you'd agree with splits to Dublin as long as other teams were also split. I agree with half of that, the part about splitting Dublin.
Again, people don't mind success as long as it comes fairly- like in Kilkenny's case. That's why there were no calls to split them in 2012. People have a problem with success coming unfairly, as it has in Dublin's case, which is why there was more and more calls for them to be split in 2020 in the mainstream media, on the Sunday game, Prime Time ran a special on it.
For you to still not believe that Dublin are unfairly advantaged you'd have to believe their larger playing pool makes no difference, the funding advantage they have makes no difference and that playing at home makes no difference, among other things- any of these are clearly ridiculous positions. And if they really do make no difference as a partisan Dublin supporter you presumably wouldn't mind a reduction in playing pool, a decrease in funding or having to play away from home a bit more often?
And again people don't mind success when its fair just like Kilkenny's success, people do however mind when it's won unfairly, like in Kerry's case all those advantages coming out of a hurling province winning 84 Munster titles against weak Counties and then only having to peak in the All Ireland series / semi finals when other provinces have to play more matches against stiffer opposition to what Kerry faced , getting more injuries etc to get to the same stage, for you to still not to believe Kerry are unfairly advantaged you as a partisan Kerry supporter you presumably wouldn't mind a decrease in funding and population down to the level of Leitrim Longford or Carlow.
I mean, three matches to win an All-Ireland, no other team ever had such an unfair advantage as Kerry in 1980.
Kerrys advantage is miniscule relative to dublin, and they play in munster with the 4th most successful football county so not sure what your talking about, and they still have to travel to dublin for knockout games
Is there any other sport where 1 team always gets home field advantage?
I dont know why you feel the need to dispute dublins advantages
