The nationwide TCO campaign is open: https://publicjobs.ie/en/ Closing date 10 November 2022.
What does all recorded ,when I did my tco zoom interview I had to declare I was not recording any part of the interview .You also say' no competency ' what do you mean by this
My interview was weeks ago, I remember it lasting about 10 mins and thinking it seemed rushed! Hard to know what's a good sign and what isn't. As mentioned above, Garda vetting result 'disclosed' to the employer about a week and a half ago, kinda in the dark now!
Sorry for bumping my own post, but does anyone know please? Thank you :)
I'm not sure where in Cork the positions would be but, in relation to being kept on, you may get a contract extended but you won't be made permanent from a temporary contract. However, being in a temporary position may increase your chances of doing well in the permanent campaign.
From what I have heard, most of the positions in Cork are in the Revenue office in Blackpool and in the CSO office. You could be assigned to a smaller office though or a Garda station.
Has anyone been placed for the TCO 2023 C comp in Cork yet? My OOM is in the low 50s, garda vetting done and kind of getting anxious now that I haven't heard anything yet.
I don’t know which campaign that code is from. What month did you apply?
You can email the email address that’s in the messages on public jobs and ask what number they’ve called.
I applied for that one in July, good idea I'll email them!
Just FYI, I also emailed them asking about the progress of my application, I told them my OOM and they just replied to me this morning saying:
"Please note that we are not in a position to give an estimate as to how long it may take for your place in the panel to be reached as this is entirely dependent on the vacancies submitted to the Public Appointments Service."
That was it. So I have no more an idea about where I stand. Technically all I wanted to know was whether or not I'm still in the running.....
My own personal experience with this whole application was that from when I started the process at the beginning of July, until I got the final Garda Vetting update is that feed back was fairly consistent and steady with progress being made every 2 weeks or so. This is the first time I'm beginning to get antsy waiting for some final word one way or another, even though it's actually been less than two weeks since I last heard. I've no problem with being patient but it would just be nice to know what my chances are more or less😅
Good luck though, hopefully they give you a better idea!
Also, this morning I got an email saying that I had an incomplete application from a separate campaign (Campaign ID: 23439603) which I have not submitted yet. The deadline for that one is October 19th. Not sure if I'll press ahead with that as I'm waiting to see if there's any progress with my current competition (Competition ID: 23237609).
Anyway the email said that there was an error on the application form on page 6, but didnt specify what the error was pertaining to 🙃
I'm trying to fin dthe original form to see the difference, but does anyone have an idea or get a similar message?
Thanks.
They replied that they only called up to OOM 2 for Cork, looks like it's gonna be a long wait 😫
Does anyone know if they keep calling from the b campaign (March 23) panel?
I got the same message this morning - regarding an incomplete application and also the mystery error on page 6!
Tco recritement campaign open again nationwide and people who passed interview this year waiting with their tongues hanging out to get a call up
With regards to this, the official who replied to me said to press ahead with applying for a new competition if I wanted as it would not affect the previous (current?) one I began applying for in July.
OOF, I guess this is when the REAL wait begins 😐️ Still, good to know SOMETHING
I looked up the previous document and checked the differences on that page. It seems the rate of pay is different in the new one (slightly higher) plus some details about potential departments/working arrangements one might be subject to.
Hi, FYI - regarding TCO 2023C. My OOM back in July was 43rd. I submitted my vetting over two weeks ago but it still says 'in progress'. Got an email today from Cork City Council inviting me to an interview in a week or so. I didnt realise there would be another interview round. But anyway I guess they have reached the 40's in the OOM.
The Cork City Council is a separate comp. Good to know they are getting back to people though, I also applied for this one and waiting to see if I passed the tests.
Thank you and furrybones!
Applied 2 days ago. Fingers crossed!
There is a separate thread for the current (2024) TCO Competition which is still open for applications
Would you mind posting the link to this thread please and thanks

Did ye get any call up yet for 2023c panel ,there is 10 ahead of me in my county so fingers crossed.I have garda vetting completed .,public jobs also told me ags were the main current recruiter in my county
I've heard nothing yet unfortunately.
Haven't been called yet either, OOM in the 50s...Has anyone been called for Cork?
I got offered a place but it is too far away over 2 hours each way so will have to turn it down .Will I automatically lose my place so no more offers I am guessing
Yep if you turn it down you get removed from the panel. It is really unfair in situations like these though...
As far as I'm aware if it's outside a certain distance you can turn it down and stay on the panel.
Not what public jobs have told me a I listed the location 10th and last preference ,your only supposed preference places where you will definetly work
