He's been very vocal in his criticism of the military lately, wonder is that is behind his "drafting". Would love to see him captured and brought to the hague for his role in MH17.
There's an easy out. Surrender
That's one way to cut back on the cost to the State of keeping people in prison anyway.
I’m sure prisoners in Russia are very little/Zero cost to the state.
Well whatever they cost, it reduces to zero if they are blown to bits in Ukraine.
Wonder that Belarus is playing at. More smoke and mirrors or something actually happening.
I think Luka is coming under immense pressure from his commander in chief to assist in his invasion,
How long can he hold out is anyones guess but if putin doesn't get what he wants from luka he's has the forces in place to remove him ,it's a dangerous game
If we went into a pub in any rural village and talked to the town drunks they’d be more coherent and tuned into reality than those two vile cretins:
If the people of Belarus fundamentally do not want to go to war, there's not really a lot that Luka or Putin can do about it. You can't throw everyone in jail for refusing their marching orders, and even if you try, you risk pushing the public well past the point of popular revolt.
Under Davydov Ford, pi@ars are counterattacking...
Lots of Ukrainian exasperation in the comments after yesterday's failed attack.
In my opinion in the long term Belarus is a sideshow. Their military is way worse than Russia's and we see how they are performing. Some are implying that Russia will take over Belarus I believe. That would stretch them even more than they are already which would accelerate their demise.
An interesting undercurrent is the action taking place on the Sumy frontline. I never see much reporting on the attacks by Ukraine across this border and feel that the Ukrainian military may know something that we don't.
Looking at my very cloudy crystal ball I think we might see the Ukrainian's open up a third front towards Polohy.
Reverting to type once again I see.
I'm not sure but I saw this doing the rounds yesterday:
New dance troupe for Belarus’ Got Talent.
Ireland's deficit in 2010 was 48 billion
The gas thing about the Mystic Megski's like this lad is that no matter how abysmal their track record on predictions is, it doesn't dampen their enthusiasm for predicting great things for Russia.
Get yourself a new crystal ball kid, that Soviet era one you're using is past by it's sell-by.
Complaints from relatives of mobilized troops-
In Russian prisons, the inmates work. They are not like the Prisons in this part of the world. Google " Russia's Black Dolphin Prison".
Sullivan to CNN: We have to send a clear message to Russia that they should not use nuclear weapons
Maybe it will be different in Moldova, but for sure in Putin's Russia, it works.
In Arabic
We don't really know if it works in Putin's Russia either. That will be a question for history to decide. The partial mobilisation that Putin is currently undertaking is not a huge hit on the domestic front. Men are fleeing while the women are protesting. It remains to be seen how effective these new conscripts who do go will be.
That was due to huge one-off items, mainly bank bail-outs. There was no physical destruction to repair and much of the costs were recovered over the following decade. There is no valid comparison between Ireland and Ukraine in this respect.
I'm assuming it is their primary language because I can't for the life of me understand why Arabic feeds would be your go-to otherwise..
I knew a Russian man who done some time here in Ireland. They said it was "nice".
You mean the Ukrainians might get some benefit from their bailout? Well heaven forbid, that's not going to work.
There hasn't been any bailout agreed for Ukraine yet, as far as I know. If there is, then Ukraine will benefit, as the alternative is likely to be much worse.
Immediately made me think of this line
Not beyond belief-
Very strong piece in the Guardian about diplomatic relations with Russia.
I know that six months ago there was resistance to radical measure against Russia, but is it now time for a re-think?
