Steven Spielberg's West Side Story and Jane Campion's The Power of the Dog were the standout champions on the movies side, with the former winning Best Picture (Musical or Comedy), Best Supporting Actress (Ariana DeBose), and Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical (Rachel Zegler), and the latter scoring Best Picture (Drama), Best Supporting Actor (Kodi Smit-McPhee), and Best Director for Campion's work.
I’m giving the “thanks” solely on the basis of you using the phrase “dimepiece”.
I haven’t encountered that word in a long, long time.
Will smith's greatest hit
Smith's initial reaction was to laugh at the joke.
Lol
He was trying to play it down ffs. I'd say he was in shock.
Christ , of course the whole thing was unhinged jesus, the meaning is mentally unbalanced. Of course he was , doesnt mean he has a mental illness but he certainly might based off last night.
True. Rock does come off as someone who is smart with what he says. But the idea is if someone of rock's physical frame and background did.... Smith wouldn't have done the same.
Where as Chris Rock comes off as a normal, not hard slim and small guy. Smith picked his battle.
C'mon Rock would never have made that type of joke. Perhaps Joe Rogan would and he could take a punch

Weird and creepy but ok then 👍
If somebody tried to kiss you on the mouth without your consent and wouldn't stop how would you feel? His reaction was tame.
You wouldn't, my dear. And you didn't answer my question.
Anyway, I don't care about the Oscars but this event makes me wish I had watched it live! The panicked reactions from white folks have been thoroughly entertaining. Thank you so much.
Wesley Snipes wouldn’t warrant a mention at an awards ceremony.
The Academy awards are a box ticking exercise in woke diversity now.
The standard of films being nominated over the last few years has been consistently deteriorating but this years winners , are the dregs.
A celebration of mediocrity.
Maybe the Oscars should feature Will Smith slapping someone every year. They could make it part of the show. 2028: Will Smith slaps the Olsen Twins.
Sting was investigated for this
Totally ott
Why wouldn’t I ? And I’m not your dear
I'd have thought for something to be classed as sexual assault that genetalia would need to be involved, not just someone trying to plant a close mouth gobsmack on you? Seems a bit much to class that as either a sexual assault or a slap but everything has to be a scandal these days I guess.
Racist to whom, my dear? And you could have easily read the rest of the thread when I first mentioned people bringing up skin colour. You didn't want to because it's only a problem when a black person does it. I don't care if you think I look bad on the Internet. You'd never say this to my face. 🤣
If both spouses are into it, well and good. But I'm firmly of the view there's always one spouse who wants it more than another. There's always a losing side of the ledger.
It's all gravy until the husband starts spending weekends away with Suzie from accounts or Charlotte the 25 year old dimepiece from the tennis club starts taking up most of his time.
Invert the situation when it's the wife at this.
It's a one way ticket to divorceville and someone in the marriage cracking up.
I don't know why that creep did it and I don't care. Smith handled it incredibly well but, you know, black guy gives a little tap in response to being sexually assaulted and the headline focuses on his reaction and not the aggressor. Same old, same old.
Threatening no, racist yes. You didn't include any previous comments but i'll take your word for it, but it looks bad on your behalf, not everyone reads every page
Imagine if it had been Wesley Snipes and not Will Smith?
:0
i think many times both spouses are into it. People find each other.
I think it is more things are broken in the people than the marriage
In response to comments made. Or is it more threatening when I do it?
I would love to hear exactly what Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry said to Smith afterward? And whether they spoke to Rock.
I get that. Call me old fashioned but I think there's something fundamentally broken in those marriages. Particularly if one partner has been Shanghai'd into it. Which I think is what you're seeing with Will Smith.
You made the comment
Just an opinion. Again, my view doesn't take away from the mental suffering alopecia causes.
I reckon she has a massive ego. It's completely on him though, I'm sure he will deal with the repercussions professionally and she will go the podcast route following discussions with their PR people.
She was never one to fade into the background.
Previous poster put it perfectly, sounds like a lad who was afraid to pull the plug on their toxic marriage, and dedicated himself to making her happy at whatever costs.
It can happen (to both sexes).
Maybe you should ask the people a few pages ago who brought up skin colour.
I don't think you can separate his behaviour from the condition of their marriage.
It's fairly obvious she has him by the short and curlies in a pretty effed up arrangement. This will probably come down to some posters flaming me for being archaic, but I genuinely don't believe a set-up where the wife has free reign to have sex with whoever and the husband keeps schtum about it is psychologically healthy.
I wouldn't want it for me, my brothers or my friends.
The same holds true for women with husbands who sleep around too. But I'm looking at it from a prism as a man, and I know I'd be heading straight for the door if it was floated.
