This question goes out those who took the 2 jabs? Will you you take it to get back to normality? Or are you sick of the government moving the goalposts constantly?
No one described themselves like that but it does take courage to go against the heavy policing, heavy propaganda, heavy enforcement that we have had. Much easier to stfu and do what you're told by Big Brother 😉
My understanding is I am not in a risk group (young-ish, fit, healthy, not overweight) so no booster is necessary.
No one should be forced to take the vaccines until we have long term studies proving their safety.
Currently we do not know if these vaccines cause issues down the road. I know the risk is very small, but it is still an unknown.
Who is forcing you to take it?
I had my booster last Sunday (Had an additional vaccine rather than a booster in October because of health issues). They checked with me as to when I had had my last vaccine. They asked if I'd had Covid recently as well. I'd personally be inclined to wait. Is there a reason why you want a booster so quickly? From my reading of things, and I'm happily open to correction, actually having Covid along with both initial vaccines, gives you a huge amount of protection.
Were you registered as having tested positive? If so, there is a possibly a record on the system, so you might run into a bit of bother. But that's mere speculation on my behalf.
I emigrated a while back. Like a lot of countries are doing now, vaccines mandates have been introduced. You need a vaccine if you want to enter any government premises, bar, restaurant, gym, beauty salon, cinema, and a lot of other places.
If you're thinking that's not forcing you to take the vaccine, as you can just avoid those places. How do you avoid every government owned premise?
So you are not talking about Ireland?
As I said, I emigrated a while back.
Vaccines mandates are being introduced around the world. Ireland likes to be the good boy in the EU, so I suspect they're coming to Ireland too. I hope I'm wrong of course.
Ireland had literally this week removed Covid cert requirements for everything except travel to foreign countries which require them, and the Government confirmed they are not considering mandating vaccination.
You are wrong.
Obviously, you don't let the facts interfere with your delusions.
Ultimately one mans bravery is another mans stupidity. I have taken the vaccine, and booster. Not because the government told me to, but because what the vast, vast, vast number of experts told me. They said the vaccine was incredibly safe. It was. They said it would save lives. It did. If you want to argue those points then I think you have passed the point of no return on the conspiracy roller coaster. You have very much linked yourself with people from the past who fought for freedom. I picked Gandhi. Maybe you see yourself closer to another historical figure. Who knows.
I understand you believe you were fighting some noble fight. But most restrictions have been lifted, despite many Anti-Vaxxers claiming they were here to stay. Your battle against "Big Brother" to lift restrictions did not contribute one iota to that. Omicron did.
Well I had a booster dose scheduled for me by the HSE via a text barely a month after having covid. So they're not following health advice themselves. Won't be taking it though. 2 previous doses and covid itself should be enough protection.
Excellent communication skills, definitely worthwhile interacting with you.
I'm also going to give you an A+ for your communication skills. You definitely know how to have successful interactions with humans.
Yes I will happily take the booster. Maybe I will be the person that pushes us beyond that number that will cause the circuit to well and truly break and for the world to become a safer place for the elderly and the unwell. What is a booster, in the grand scheme of things. I see lots of comments on research not being adequate and no understanding of long-term ailments. There have been plenty of studies on RNA vaccines of which this is just another in a long list. The differences between this and most on that list are negligible. Worst case scenario, I would happily take an issue with my health in 40 years (as someone in their mid 20s) so that my grandparents could get back to going to town once a week for their lunch and to watch the world go by without fear.
I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, and I don't want any attempts to change my own. I also don't think goalposts are being moved. In a sporting analogy these steps are more like passes on the field. These changes are men being marked. We need to choose a different route to the goal. The goal remains unchanged, a world where we can go about our business and get back to enjoying ourselves.
Was due to get the booster, then got COVID. It was horrible and 2-3 weeks later, can't laugh or run hard without coughing.
Will I get the booster when I am allowed? Yes because I believe in medical science and not conspiracy theorists who haven't done a full year of college in their lives or barely passed the leaving cert.
Has anyone who's had covid got the booster before the 90 day period? Reason I ask is I'm vaccinated since July and tested positive for Covid last week. I was due to get the booster this Monday but obviously can't now for 90 days, but I'm due to travel to the USA at the end of March and I'm not sure if they will accept the Covid pass without proof of the booster..
@Duff
Did you text positive by hse PCR test, then get a recovery cert?
https://www.covidcertificateportal.gov.ie/en-US/issue-recovery-cert/
Yep, got the positive PCR text yesterday, so I'll definitely get the cert when the 11 days has elapsed. Will the recovery cert with proof of my original vaccination status on the covid cert be enough so? I just know that the US can be fussy with what they accept even with getting on the plane.
Plenty of people a lot smarter and more educated than you out there have different opinions.
Not having a go at you. Just saying ;)
Unfortunately its the ones that i have mentioned seem to shame you for taking it. Im all for peoples opinions, but if you're going to produce .biz.wiz.com pages with no actual facts and call me "the problem", then you're more of a joke than anything.
Of course ones with an educated background who give you facts, does make you wonder. Such as the question about the cure for cancer being out there but is less profitable for pharmaceutical companies, but then again, im sure there is a way to make it just as profitable as chemo.
Off point there a bit, i get what you mean but as I said, its targeted at the i believe everything I read brigades.
or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days
But check with Airport what is required before traveling as conditions may change.
Don't take it to heart, Frost thinks it's all a plot by Fauci to implement the great reset or something, his experts are bitchute and gript, so basically anyone with a soapbox to stand on.
Are you saying there is a cure for cancer that is being withheld? That would be financial madness as it is the holy grail for medicine, the pharma that invents it would make Apple look like a corner stall.
Novavax (non mRNA) vaccine approved as a booster for over 18s.

That HSE website for booking an appointment for a booster is a joke.
Decided I'll get it after a lot of thinking and the website doesn't even work to book it. Am I f*** queuing for a walk in.
@Jim Gazebo Did you try ringing? Someone I know needed 4th Jab (immunocompromised), contacted them by phone and was told an appointment would be texted.
If you have problems booking online, phone HSELive on 1800 700 700.
Alternative is to book a Pharmacy appointment?
I'll try sort in the morning. Want to get it tomorrow as going to France soon. I can get through to where you put the phone number in then the site dies.
Here is the link. Should take less than a minute to book an appointment.
I got my booster jab yesterday at lunchtime and had the new cert issued the same day.
