Yep and my post still stands
If they cannot pay at the end what does it matter though really to the people isolating !
Flying to Malaga tomorrow and that sounds rather hopeful!!
Portugal going into 2 week lockdown
Any sign of Spain following suit? We will all need a January escape somewhere!
Ah yes thats it, I'm getting muddled between VHI Multitrip and Multitrip.com, which are two different things and that is insane.
VHI Multitrip isn't worth a jot - shame I already have it. Will have to sign up for Multitrip.com next time around.
I thought its pubs and nightclubs closing for 2 weeks, restaurants stay open. That's not a lockdown.
On one of the other threads it's reported that "pubs that sell food" also dont have to close - the focus is bars along the Strip rather than traditional pubs.
The actual rule was that table service must be introduced everywhere rather than pubs must close. Table service is a death sentence for nightclubs but not other types of bars.
The Spanish PM is meeting regional presidents today to coordinate health measures as it’s pretty disjointed across the country. We’ll find out later today what’s happening but it definitely won’t be a lockdown.
I suspect that a national measure will be made to make vaccine passports mandatory across Spain. I wouldn’t rule out earlier closing times and a traffic light system on indoor capacity if cases increase.
So in the EU the Covid pass will only be valid for travel for 9 months without a booster, but if you get Covid you have to wait three months before you can get the booster. What happens if 9 months pass but you have to wait more time to get the booster, can you still travel? Do you need a special document from the government like the last time?
I think you get a separate pass that's valid for 6 months if you've recovered from covid so it gives you a 3 month window to get the booster and update the cert
Aren’t you still able to travel at the moment to certain places regardless of whether you’re vaccinated or not? I.E. USA don’t accept entry unvaccinated…
provided you show a negative test.
no it didnt - it declared France as a risk area, just like Ireland has been considered for the past 4 weeks due to high infection numbers
A risk area means that you need to fill a form and upload your vax cert or test results but theres NOT a ban on travelling between the 2 countries, just as theres no ban on travelling from Ireland to Germany
BTW, you can travel between France and Germany in both directions and across most of the continent as a vaccinated person without need for any additional testing, but to go to Ireland you DO need a test , making Ireland the one who is not toeing the line with the rest of Europe, again.
The latest in COVID wearables! All that chipping that CT talk about as you and your dog get scanned!
Do I need to use the app verifly to fly into Ireland ?
Aer lingus keep texting me about the app, isn't it just a handy way to keep the pass, test results and PLF in one place ?
No,it verifies them for aer lingus
So if you upload, you'll have no delay at the airport, assuming your doc's are ok
Spain is reintroducing masks outdoors from possibly Christmas Eve. But no other nationwide restrictions.
Will that mean on the beach or pool sunbathing? Due to fly to canaries for new year
Its only been announced 30 minutes ago so will likely follow the previous rules. Looks like it comes in from Christmas Eve.
Pathetic
OK, and makes it possible to check in online ?
Do I need to check in online with AerLingus ? is it mandatory like Ryanair?
It does make olci possible depending on where you are flying from
Its not mandatory but saves time at the airport if you're hand baggage only
I might just stay in Ireland ... livid about this outdoor mask rule.
Even Austria haven't introduced such a ridiculous measure
Thanks
Weather is looking summer like in Spain from next Wednesday !
Yes and you can enjoy it behind your mandatory mask !!
It's a fascist kip here, better off in Ireland.
Have had to go get a PCR test due to a close contact and a positive antigen. BA are allowing free rebooking so, if I am positive (praying for a Christmas miracle here that I am not), I won't be out of pocket.
You dont HAVE to use it. It can be a pain in the arse to get it to accept some information (same item submitted three times before they "reviewed" it properly), but it makes it easier at the airport check in.
Have to say, no one at Dublin checked anything on my flight arrival on Tuesday morning.
As expected, we now can't travel to Austria.
TheGuardian are reporting that as of pretty much immediately, you have to be triple vaccinated and have a <72hr PCR to enter Austria. Since the government are arsing around with the EU COVID cert, those of us who are triple vaccinated can't prove it, so can't go.
8pm closing times, limits on gatherings? No thanks.
Are you staying in Malaga? Andalusia now requires a Covid pass to get in to a lot of passes.
Seven African nations dropped from Ireland's home quarantine rules
Great to read that the restrictions for 7 countries in Southern Africa have been lifted, whatever waste of resources that did putting them on did.
Next up remove the testing rubbish. More waste of time and especially money.
One day someone in power will wake and realise what a waste of time and money all this was. Unless we stop the world (not going to happen), then it’s all pointless.
FFS no doubt the government will leave it as long as possible to update the cert. I’m back travelling for work, seems like the government want no private enterprise anymore.
