Is it possible to amend the Passenger Locator Form?

Hello everyone,

I'm French and will be visiting a friend in Ireland for a few days and I realise after printing my Passenger Locator Form that I made a mistake when I filled it in.

I misread/misunderstood "Departure date" and "Arrival date" and ticked the "Arrival date is the same as departure date" box. Now the form says that I'll arrive and leave at the same date which is not the case.

Do you know if there is a way to amend the information on the form? Should I just fill in a new one or just fill in the paper version at the airport?

Should I be worried? 😅

Just fill out a new one and show the new one on arrival.

Edit: And you've nothing to worry about, I had to fill out another one during the summer because of a typo.

This is the email given for amending the address you'll be staying at, you could try sending your correct dates there.

Just to make sure, could you please confirm "Date of departure" refers to the date I'll go back to my country? This field is just next to "Country of departure" and this is throwing me off.

Or does it refer to when I leave for Ireland, knowing there is a "Arrival date" field as well?

It seems there is a misunderstanding.

Departure date is the date you leave France (I'm assuming France) and arrival date is the date you arrive in Ireland. They aren't asking when you plan to leave Ireland.

If you leave France and arrive in Ireland the same day then you won't need to change the original PLF. "Arrival date is the same as departure date" box stays ticked.

I KNEW I was going in the wrong direction.... 😂 I just thought it made more sense for them to ask how long I will stay in the country.

They don’t check for them. Ask anyone who has been through Dublin Airport since they were introduced

I was checked for the PLF and a PCR back in May.

I’m not sure why you bothered to comment “Ireland doesn’t check for vaccine passports or passenger locator forms”, it would be a big gamble to arrive without them. Especially since the OP is only visiting and to not have them means you should quarantine (I think).

If you don’t have a locator form you just fill it out on the spot. Only takes 5 minutes.

They may have checked at the beginning but they don’t check anymore. I’ve been through Dublin Airport several times over the past few months and so have my colleagues and friends and no one is ever checked. They don’t even have a desk/area to check.

Perhaps that's because the airline is required to check them before you board the flight? Or has that never happened to you, your colleagues or friends either?

Thats only happened to me back in Summer, hasn’t happened since and I travel regularly

All I’m saying is that the OP shouldn’t stress about a mistake on their Passenger Locator Form as it won’t be checked. I’m not looking for an argument

The INIS border control agents at Dublin airport are not checking the Passenger Locator forms.

I was not checked in Prague airport either by the Ryanair boarding gate staff upon departure either.

I just arrived back recently (Late August) 2021 from Prague with Ryanair to Dublin airport, when I arrived into Terminal 1 ,I approached the female officer at the passport booth.

She was in a deep conversation with her colleague or Supervisor when I approached, I had to initiate contact by saying "Good evening , how are you this evening, what documents do you need to see from me? I was told by her, "Ah all I need to see is your passport".

I replied, "What about the Passenger Locator Form which I filled out? Ah, "No, all I need to see is your passport", she did not ask anything else, and waved me through.

I thought it was very poor control and a lack of interest in her job or just low morale, not sure.

But DR. Tony Holohan, the CMO is right, there is no Passenger Locator Form checks going on at Dublin Airport.

Really? It’s happened to me twice. Both Ryanair.
