One benefit of the pandemic over the past year is that it gave us a break from all the doom, despair and hysteria of the climate change crisis news incessantly jammed down our throats on a daily basis.
Now that the pandemic news is losing traction it's time to fire up the climate change outrage machine again
You know there is a serious reporting problem when the only public figures allowed have an opinion on the matter are Greta Thunberg, Beth Doherty from 'Fridays for Future':
Oisin Coghlan from 'Friends of the Earth' and this guy:
... to name but a few. Notice the trend here? The only side we hear from are those on the fringes. Anyone else is not entitled to an opinion and should not be heard from in RTE's eyes.
Before you spit your coffee out in disgust, no the science is not established, we have no evidence that it is caused by humans and we have no evidence that it is a problem yet.
We do know that we are in a warming cycle however and I for one am delighted.
Anyone who is living in fear, either doesn't have a grasp of how science works, how statistics works or how history works. In the 11th century temperatures were so mild that there were vineyards planted across Britain due to the optimal weather conditions. Far warmer than the temperatures we experience now. In the 1300s and 1600s we experienced miniature ice ages. Not to mention the hysteria of the 1970s when 'the science' thought we were entering another Ice age:
See the trend here? We are approaching the peak of a normal warming cycle and the only people who think it's a problem are the fanatics
