It certainly will take delivery to believe it but they can go that route of talk because of the success of their programme.

Our doses per capita as of 25 March is the equivalent of the UK at 2nd of February, so 51 days behind as things stand. I think we will start to slowly catch up over the next few months.

Rollout they can do, they manage the flu' jab every year with no issues.

Do you not think you’re being a bit short sighted on this? Who cares what their game is? I do anyway. The way some lads are going on id say they’d sell their mother for a vaccine at this stage. Once this is all over, we need to get back to the business of running our country, what we do now has implications for the future. It is not a simple black and white decision.

To state a point that some people might have missed, once you’ve eaten your fill at the table and you leave your scraps on a plate and take them to the back door, you might think you are sharing, but you are not. I have no issue with someone doing their own thing but don’t try paint it to be something it isn’t.

Nah it's just blather, best ignored. Assuming all the claims about Q2 deliveries here are true it's not a route we'll need to go down. If they really have such "kind and gentle hearts", let them give them to COVAX.

It will be fairly quick as the UK is totally bound now to giving the 2nd dose, so numbers there stall.
Either way not worried, simply concentrate on our own figures.

While 1 million per month would be a massive ramp up, it would still take us about 6 months from now at that rate to vaccinate to herd immunity. We really need to be at 40k+ per day.

That's exactly what it is. The UK culture minister has already confirmed this morning that they have no spare doses. So it's all a load of nonsense.

The next bit of the story might be the UK saying, well we would have given you our spare doses but the nasty EU stopped our Astra doses being exported so we can't give you any.

Just going by this source for Belgium vaccine deliveries, it looks like this week was another poor AZ delivery. Works out at about 12k pro rata AZ for us. This 'big delivery' next week is probably just making up for missed deliveries of the 60% of the 60% promised!

That's a nice site from Belgium. On the more positive side, looks like they got a decent size Moderna delivery on Friday - 96,000 doses. Should be about 40,000 for us.

Comparing our totals up to and including week 11 with theirs, they all seem to line up (we got a little more Pfizer compared with them up to week 11) so I would hope we got the 40k Moderna. Put's us at about 943k doses delivered (up to week 12) with this week still to go. So the 1.1mil goal or what ever it was is not outta reach (depending on what days they get delivered though)

I think the British have achieved exactly what they wanted to achieve without ever having to contact the Government and offer vaccines. The talk of wether to take or not these mythical vaccines should be consigned to the same place as all their other fanciful propaganda.
