The EU official, who asked not to named as the talks are confidential, said the company had postponed signing a deal for weeks, citing legal issues in meetings with the bloc’s vaccine negotiators. “They are slowing down the process of finishing the contract,” the official, who attended the meetings, told Reuters.

They don't start delivering until the 2nd half of the year by which time Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson will be running at full scale and CureVac will also be delivering. That doesn't get reported by the gutter media because it gives them another excuse to have a pop at Europe.

A lot later than was originally envisaged, some of the delays included their CEO getting a massive stroke and ending up in a coma. Also, CureVac say that the natural mRNA that they use is more complex to manufacture than the artificial component in the Moderna and BioNTech mRNA formula.

I've heard of many people in that age group getting their vaccine and one person who is just 70 and was given a date in mid-April for theirs. i just thought my dad would have heard by now at least as to when he's getting it. My mum is 74 and hasn't heard anything either.
