-Some over 75s will receive first doses this week but priority given to over 80s
-Still on target to complete by mid-May
-GPs supplying details of housebound to HSE
-GPs "meeting no vaccine hesitancy"
-Another clinic in Helix this weekend
-HSE putting in a 'relationship manager' for each practice
-HSE to provide more notice to GPs about definitive numbers for vaccination
-Evidence of increased number of COVID referrals by GPs, including in older people.

-130,000 doses administered to Cohort 3 as of last week.
-This week 30,000 first doses mostly for over 80s
-15,000 2nd doses for over 85s + 8,000 Moderna 2nd doses
-250 visits from NAS to housebound. 1,800 housebound identified to date.
-Approx 1000 over 70s in hospital.
-Majority of over 70s have medical/visit card (apart from 800 nationwide) and can be tracked via PCRS system by HSE - realtime tracking of administration of vaccines.

Karina Butler/NIAC on AZ clusters - Decision was not made on basis of normal clots that you would expect to see in populations. Rather in Norway, it was a cluster of 3 cases in a single hospital within a 2 week period in a younger age group.

But the major difference is that "the EU" has absolutely no responsibility for health or for producing vaccines - it is not a government.

The US has a federal government which is directly responsible for the health of its own citizens. The EU has no authority to do what you are suggesting and nor does it vaccinate people (only the individual member states can do the above).

They should have the vaccines that were due to be given Sunday - Thursday all moved to some MVCs and vaccinate through the night on Thursday once they get the okay.

In fairness, at least 35m EU produced doses have been exported to various countries around the world. Plenty is being produced in the EU, they are just allowing others share in it until some.

Ultimately, 30k doses is a just over a days vaccinations. So its really insignificant as we will catch up in no time. Its just another dose of bad news. The EU really needs a bit of good news sooner rather than later.

They are also the group most at risk of any vaccine effects. Pause was a tough call to make, late Sat/Sun night. But will resume soon IWT and should take comfort from the speedy review.

I had a very similar experience to Robin. The priority was to get people in and out with as little contact as possible which I completely agree with under the circumstances.

The other patients I saw were elderly and vulnerable.

Asked every year to wait 15 minutes . They even had an area with two chairs so we could sit down and wait in the pharmacy . Quite shocked you haven’t ever been advised to wait around actually

I was asked this year just to stay close to the pharmacy for 10-15 mins.

Whenever my children are getting a new vaccine in the schedule I was told to wait for 10 mins just incase there was a reaction
