But while I think it's better to wear than not I also think when the coughs and colds season hits the government will make them mandatory indoors so get used to them.

It looks like England are making them mandatory in retail now, I have no doubt we will copy them as usual, so it's a matter of when, not if. God knows how many will be infected in the meantime because of our governments ineptitude and procrastination.

Nobody's asking them to confront non compliants, I suspect they are trying to piggyback on this issue to push for more security, which they have sought after for year's. Masks are really being unnecessarily overcomplicated and convoluted at everystage. Ireland are crying out for strong leadership on this and many other issues. Instead all we see from our politicians is petty squabbling, point scoring, and pandering to big businesses.

Dublin Bus actually enforcing the wearing of masks this morning Bus driver wasn't letting people on without one. Later into the journey a Dublin Bus fella got on to check compliance too

Security guards on the Luas are enforcing masks too, asking people to get off, if they don't have a mask on. People are complying and getting off the Luas

Quite possibly a fair few tourists who may have been unaware of the rules (and, as of today, law). I wonder if compliance at weekends will be lower given it's less likely to have regular workers on board and more people visiting for leisure.
