There's definitely not enough good stuff on Netflix to last a year. You'd get through all the half decent stuff in two weeks.

Seems to be a common line thrown out that people who call for an end to lockdown are weak. To me the weak and scared are those who want to curl up in a ball and live in isolation for the foreseeable future.

No country has "beaten" the virus. Restricting it is temporary and it's unknown about how seasonal it may be.

The 1918 Spanish Flu second wave was far worse than the first a couple of months later.

Many people are working from home and taking
care of children. it's not easy for most people to stay
at home most of the time even if
they are single or have no children. I think the restrictions
will be lifted in phases as the no of infections
falls. Other country's have beaten
the virus like new Zealand
It will take a heavy toll on the economy
as many shops and cafes are closed with zero income
its going to take at least a year for tourism in ireland
to recover. Many people may not want to travel
on an airplane for a year or more depending on how long
it takes to make a vaccine or they may not be able to
afford it if most country's are in a recession

The current numbers are a reflection of the complete mismanagement of the nursing home and care facilities around the country by the government. The are not a reflection of the efforts of the majority of Irish people to abide by the rules.
They were concentrating so hard on ensuring no one went more than 2km away from their homes that they completely neglected to properly protect our most vulnerable elderly citizens.
They are using these numbers as a means to enforce the current lockdown when the lockdown has no effect on the outbreak in nursing homes.

Lads lads lads number are still high and inconsistent. This phasing of things could be a disaster if things go bad again. Could very well happen. This virus is gonna be around for another while yet. Not confident that we will get the better of it anytime soon.

The world changed in November.

Society will not operate properly with COVID-19 out of control in the population.

It's as simple as that.

All we can do is contain as much as possible for as long as possible.

There are painful times ahead and we just have to adapt until there is a vaccine that can be distributed.

The economic damage happens anyway. It's not an either/or situation.

Pubs will operate with it for a good while I would think but give it 2 months before people are comfortable and back in what would have been the "old" routine in pubs. That's what I think anyway. Plus we'll also see how other countries have managed when the time comes which will be a benefit too.

I love these. If you understood basics of what you were saying, the fundamentals, and I dont know how many times I have to say this, there is no proof of anything. It's all theory and evidence. There is evidence of immunity because not a single person on Earth has been reinfected.
