It refers to freedom of movement. It states that you can exercise within 2km of your home. I am saying this needs to be removed for people to have their freedom of movement back, and be able to see loved ones.

I think in France or Italy, it was within 100m or something.

The 2k is an abritary limit that came out really, but it was done to stop the people rushing to beaches and mountains that happened back in the first weekend of the original restrictions. Loads of potentially sick people rushing from Dublin/Cork etc to villages on coasts just makes it harder to trace the sickness and increases the spread.

If people acted with some common sense, it'd be fine, but you know the first sign of sunshine, parks and beaches would be full of people and the virus would go crazy.

Interesting article on the rte news feed from an owner of a building site in ballymun.
O cohusing Cohusing alliance are disappointed they are not on the list of 35 housing developments that have been giving permission to restart works.
Sounds like there is a set of plans in place

I don't think anyone idolized him just takes more faith in him then the many many experts here with the PHD in Health and experience. The plan should have been started to be released this weekend I agree but hell that be a green light for many here it seems to start doing whatever they wanted now. Some of us just can't be trusted

Some social housing developments got the go ahead to recommence last week.

Speak for yourself there. Vast majority can be trusted and compliance has been extremely high, despite what the hysterics on social media would have you believe.

Measures on screenshot look very plausible based on the rumours.

Though the template looks exactly like the gov.ie page templates (https://www.gov.ie/en/press-release/2aa01f-statement-from-the-national-public-health-emergency-team-sunday-26-a/) so does look like someone just went in and replaced the text on the gov.ie page. Doesn't seem likely that an internal communication would follow the public facing webpage template. Unless it's an unpublished draft or something.

Showed it to a senior HSE manager, BS, he said the language being used DIY, beaches, etc just isn't plausible

Not to say that something similar couldn't be published next Tuesday, just that in his opinion that notice is not true and made up

The Gardai are starting an operation tomorrow at 7am which they say will be even bigger than the Easter one. They will be targeting tourist areas & smaller roads to prevent people avoiding the checkpoints. - 5km or 2km limit makes no sense - it's either 2km or nothing

- 1 month for review way too long

- childcare for essential workers like supermarkets? How would that work

it's less risky just to wait and see - the Irish are not innovators in this regard and mostly copy stuff or take it from the EU. I'll not be surprised if the actual restrictions update are very similar to what is on that page.

Holohan for one has basically being saying "don't change anything" for the last 2 weeks

holding 1 referendum with no risk does not negate this point.

No difference in travel

That would be up to 3 months without seeing friends, family, relationships

A month is a very long time in between any lifting of restrictions

More playing for time

Don't think those changes would be accepted for an additional month and that compliance and good will would fall
