The reality is the Nazis are getting off on this. They love to see everybody restricted, jobs lost, businesses closed, families devastated after spending years or even lifetimes building up a business.

I'd say they are the type that sit at home every Saturday night delighted with themselves that they got the cheapest special offer alcohol available during the week.

That's because Public Health considerations do come first during a pandemic.

The government so far haven’t been honest on this score.
If someone was bothered to do some quick figures and models of forecast revenues vs spending cuts it would soften a lot of coughs. Instead they’re saying we will just borrow and then hope for the best

Then his advice was off .The CMO gave poor advice at the time so it is natural that people now might question his advice

Yes and a lot of people are avoiding hospitals because of this and things that should be picked up are being missed.

People often go to the hospital or GP for something quite innocuous and then something more sinister is picked up, and often caught early.

These are being missed now.

That's leaving aside the mental health side of things, or the person living with a tyrant who gets no escape at all now.

But people don't get to the post of CMO without knowing their stuff. You can say what you want but random posters on boards don't know more than the CMO, despite the fact that they would like to think they do.

Gov ministers aren't qualified to make medical decisions. They have to take the advice given to them, and this ultimately comes from the CMO.

Do you think Harris should have listened to Irelands CMO and his advice, then said "naw tell you what, I'm going to opt for another plan of action that (insert random country here) are doing instead".

Dr Holohan warned the minister that to announce a review “could unnecessarily undermine public confidence in CervicalCheck” when there was “no evidence at this stage that there are quality or patient safety concerns with the CervicalCheck programme”.

The minister ignored Dr Holohan’s advice and announced a review that day.

I'm not a virologist but taking people out of hospital with Covid and putting them into nursing homes was downright stupidity of the highest order.
Who made that call, who took the bad advice. Harris was gleeful after solving the trolley crisis, he's a fully fledged idiot.

Your wrong they don't have to take the advice, it's just that advice, should Harris have used some critical thinking, absolutely. Should he have got different opinions, absolutely.
Did he, no he didn't and he's lack of leadership has now resulted in many deaths. He's can't worm his way out of this by saying he was acting on advice when he didn't bother his arse scrutinising the advice.
