What I don't get is - how if they live within the 2km radius of your house, you haven't seen them - if you met that on the road for instance and get 2m apart then your not doing anything wrong so to speak - be like meeting them in the park etc. as long as your social distancing etc. Or are you going to start hugging them and doing all that irresponsible stuff? I'd go a step further depending on the kids ages, that you are showing them that they don't have to listen to rules or regulations if they really want to do something then do it... whether legal or not

Batten down the hatches Folks, I am no expert but facts are facts. Suck it up.

Social distancing etc. None of these people are going into house for chats or hugging etc - but there is still an interaction - all within the 2km radius.

Do you think that cosmetic brands will try to come up with some sort of shield that can be applied to the face, which can then allow make up to be applied by an expert. And hence something similar could be worn by those getting a hair cut - like a shield/mask
GaryByrne wrote: » Yeah I never thought about something like that, although the risk is still there with the gown and hairdryers blowing germs all around the room. It's very hard to imagine how it'll work. Obviously we gotta get back to work eventually, I honestly dunno how it'll work, I'm not holding hope varadker will give our sector safe advice as most initially took it upon themselves to shut up shop because we couldnt safely self distance The government didn't advise closures til a week after pubs were closed I mean just imagine a beard trim, you are stuck in someone's face you couldn't get closer to the source if someone had the virus I also would imagine most if not all barbers will be purely appointments to control flow in and out of the shop as most are quite small in size. Again though I'm just making assumptions based on my own visions of a post restriction You could be right and we could be allowed open on the 5th, I just hope they have a plan to safely achieve this or it'd not be good I wouldn't deem us as essential in anyway though other than making someone feel good for a little while Just imagine there's a few million people wanting their haircut right now all over Ireland, it'd be absolutely mental to open them first

As much as I would love a hot towel shave now I don't think that's going to be happening.

Ace 2007 put forward some very genuine and interesting solutions but I do believe that the government must and should give proper guidance, to all businesses on what measures to put in place before opening up. I truly and genuinely wish you the very best of luck!!

That muppet Tubridy last night asking will they open in September. Easy for him on his 400 grand a year.

If you're suggesting schools go back it basically means everyone will have more contacts again, not sure you're thinking of the logistics of social distancing. I would love for life to go back to normal but when it comes to this virus spreading, schools are going to be a problem.

We didn't expect our lives to be in lockdown a month or so ago, they're probably wrong to even make a guess right now on it.

Germany also going back, We should be going back too. No evidence to show that children are super spreaders.
