dogbert27 wrote: » To be a pedant, technically we were 2 points away from being champions but it depends where those 2 points came from. If we turned a drawn game in to a victory against United or West Ham then we would have won the league by a point. Or if we turned our draw against City in to a win we would have won the league by 2 points. If we had beaten city for example we would have finished on 100 points and they on 95. The point of the original post though didn't seem to get taken in to account and the "facts" had to be corrected. Bringing the "facts" in to it though, the 08/09 season we suffered too many draws and you could say similar in 18/19. United won the league that season losing more games than us and City did this year.
