Its suggests Ripplecom and Regional broadband. Anyone have any feedback on these two? Ripplecom are 8MB speeds with 100Gb allowance for €49.99 Regional are offering 15Mb with unlimited allowance for the same €49.99. Anyone have experience with any of these providers.

Does that mean that I will never be able to avail of broadband through the phone line.? Confused!! We have Eir poles outside the house but the exchange, Adamstown in Wexford, is not broadband enabled at the minute. Will this fibre rollout mean we might get some creed of internet after it has been upgraded even if its not fibre? Not looking for 1000 Mbps speeds. 30-50 would be fine.
ADT1_E01 Fibre Broadband Cabinet is planned for this location

The exchange (MRO1_E01) is scheduled for FTTH in H2 this year, poles for replacement were marked as defective late last year but no pole replacement or hedge cutting work carried out yet.

My area (Claregalway) is listed as Early/Mid 2017 and there has been little or no pole activity that I've seen other than a couple of lone van sightings over a 2 month period. So how are they going to meet their targets by not working on areas in the correct order?
MBSnr wrote: » They have been very busy in Claregalway. I've seen them pulling cable on the N17 side roads (McHughes pub area) and the N18 side roads (Lydican). Maybe they haven't made it over the bridge to East Claregalway yet?

They weren't getting any signal from the splice boxes so they had to call it a day, they said they might be back tomorrow but it could be next week before they have the issue sorted. Ah well, what's another few days when I've been putting up with crap speeds for a few years now! I hope to take a few snaps of them working at it when the install does happen and I'll post them up 👍

In addition to the regional FTTH rollout, between 2017-2020 open eir will roll out FTTH services to approximately 300,000 premises across rural Ireland.
