you get a full experience with the joy cons. seperate, connected to the switch in handheld mode or in the grip is the full experience

My point is how can you say it's a long way from a decent controller without trying it? All the hands-on opinions I've read so far have said really good things about them, the one drawback being the lack of analogue trigger, which won't be fixed by using the pro-controller.

In the past I've looked at the NES controller , N64 controller and Wii U pad and thought... no way ... and been proven wrong each time so I've no doubt it'll be fine.

joy cons will be grand to start, but the pro controller is long term what i can see a lot of people going for. But until it becomes affordable, i have yet to hear anyone say the joycons are anything less than "fine".

As for storage, they said the switch will take up to 2tb micro SD cards in the future, so, future proofed.

Who have you been talking to and reading? All the reviews sites I go to, Nintendo or otherwise, say they were very surprised at how comfortable and great they are to use in the grip or on the screen.

The pro controller has the HD rumble thing going on too, so, I don't know, pro might be better of you're a constant gamer. I don't really see a need for it but I'll be picking the pro controller up along with extra joy-cons.

Lol, dude, I know what Forbes is. I was just pointing out things that people (on here even) should be aware of.

A lot of nonsense articles and YouTube videos over the past 5 days saying how bad (not in the cool sense of the way) the Switch is, and there is still a ton of information to come out for it over the next 6 or so weeks.

I'm sure the joy-cons are fine for most stuff, they look good, seem versatile, and have potential. Where they'll fail dramatically is Virtual Console stuff - fancy a game a Ninja Gaiden using an analgue stick? No? Maybe try the PSP-esque D-Pad instead? Nope, truly awful ways to control certain types of games...and with the VC being a big push, I seriously think the Pro controller should have been a pack in...and I don't believe this would have pushed the price up significantly, because the silly price they're being sold for certainly isn't what they cost to make.

Even the likes of the 'new' SFII game...analogue stick controls or brutal d-pad...versus a real proper Nintendo d-pad on the Pro controller....you decide

Do we know for absolute certain that the Switch comes with an AC adapter in Europe? They didn't give us one for the NES Classic Mini nor the 3DS. I see Smyths are selling an AC adapter for €35.

The actual system will come with a plug to connect to the dock and then charge the switch screen.

I'd hold off on getting a separate wall charger for now. 35 Euro is crazy high. It's 27 pounds in the UK so I think I'd wait for 3rd party chargers to come out

Seeing as the image on the side shows it going into the console outside of the dock, I imagine it's for people who want to charge it outside of the dock and don't want to faff around with pulling the AC adapter out of the dock.

Really can't see them skimping on the plug in the box so that it couldn't be used with the TV in Europe without spending more if it's bundled elsewhere.

That way I can charge when out and about.

Post #4681, so really 2. Thought there might have been another but think that was before the launch, but point still stands really. We all have complaints about the Switch so far, don't think anyone has said it's a perfect console, just don't know why the default starting position is negative sometimes.

There are legitimate complaints for sure. It's the type of article you could have had at any console launch though, I'd dread to go back and read the ones after Xbox Ones launch.
