snowstreams wrote: » Im waiting for winter 2016-17 for my ftth on the blueline too. I'm with meteor at the moment, getting about 10-20meg on my 4g connection, but it has been slowing down lately probably due to contention. And Im constantly buying data add ons because I keep going over the cap. I see imagine are in the area offering about 600gigs a month compared to my 50 with meteor. 100 euro to break contract means about 4-6 months worth of data add-ons with meteor but Imagine has a 100 euro installation charge too. So I think i'll hold out for FTTH till at least the new year and see if things are moving. I presume we should know more by the new year?

Allison Puny Appetite wrote: » I don't think so. In an area due to get FTTH by Spring 2017 these D plates have recently appeared on several poles along the blue line route. KNN have also been spotted in the area. I believe the appearance of the plates is the first sign of the deployment commencing in an area.
lucernarian wrote: » Fair enough, but the amount of time that some poles have had that D marker on them precedes the "blue lines" by a number of years. That info doesn't preclude that the recent sightings of the D mark isn't for the FTTH rollout, it just means that the twitter post is wrong to suggest those Ds are entirely because of the FTTH rollout.

Even though the blue line stops 300 metres from me and then restartes 1km from me in the other direction so house in between dont seem to be eligable crazy to me.

While on a drive later on between Dunshaughlin and Ratoath I noticed Eir have replaced quite a few poles on the section of road between the blue lines of Ratoath and blue lines of Dunshaughlin (the only 600meters of road not blue lined)..... could just be normal pole replacement or perhaps they are extending this beyond the blue lines on the map.
