Just wondering what yer personal favourite platformer is/was.Ya know the old old ones we all used to blow our pocket money on?!

My personal favourite would have to be Wonderboy in monster Land, so simple yet so unbelievably addictive :)

They dont make them like that anymore!

Super Mario World was on this arcade machine If I do recall, along with Super Tennis and and some other Nintendo games. Spend loads of coins on it...then I realised that instead of spending all my money on it I should just go out and buy a snes with it..so I did. :p

Shinobi or Bad Dudes vs Dragon Ninja. Would Golden Axe fall into this category - not really.

Also ,the afore mentioned Wonderboy series rules!

'Black Dragon' was a cool game when it was out and that along with 'Legends of Hero Tonma' were where all my money went one summer.
    Does anyone here use MAME?
I'm sure you all do, I still download old arcade games for a laugh.
And those games I mentioned can be played on it.

    Scramble isn't a platformer...it's a sideways shooter.
