Had an MRI as i suspected something going on with it, left shoulder and it mainly acts up at night when trying to sleep. Anyone recovered from it and did it take long?
sorry to not have a solution, but I may have the same thing and didn’t know it had a name until now…
I long suffered with what I was told was bursitus but eventually had an operation for a torn rotator cuff. The surgeon told me afterwards that the pain was actually from a large abscess located deep in the joint, that he believed might have been caused from bacteria, accidentally introduced from years of cortisone injections. 12 years on, I still get a few odd twinges at work or when sleeping, but a few days of taking Difene usually helps sort it.
Seek out a PT have it assessed !
Ice, resting the shoulder from aggravating activities and physiotherapy. Should be gone in a few weeks. OTC anti inflammatories help too.
It could be a rotator cuff tear which requires some attention from either a orthopaedic specialist or a physio. If a physio suspects something more than just inflammation/ bursitis they will send you to someone to get it sorted . Meanwhile rest, ice and physio when pain settles .
Simple night time stuff to aid sleep is rub in voltarol or similar gel and sleep up on a few pillows to support that side .
Been there after an accident so sympathies .
